Selene's POV

I blinked hard, my eyes struggling against the light streaming in through a window.

When I looked around, I realized that I wasn’t in my room.

The sheets smelled like lavender and the curtains were thick and cream-colored, nothing like the dark ones I chose myself.

And worse… Victor wasn’t here.

I remembered passing out in the garden, right in front of him, and yet he didn’t stay by my side. He left me again, just like always.

Suddenly a noise came from the corner of the room.

I immediately sat up, my eyes narrowing.

There was a girl standing near the dresser, folding a towel with the slowest hands I had ever seen. She had long brown hair tied up in a loose bun and wore a pale blue maid dress. Her expression was unreadable, almost bored.

“You’re finally awake,” she said flatly, not even looking at me.

“Who are you?” My voice was raspy but hard.

She turned slightly, finally facing me with a smirk tugging at her lips. “Lisa. I was told to keep an eye on you.”

“By who?”

Anthony's POV I could still hear Selene crying.Even after she ended the call, her sobs echoed in my head like a curse I couldn’t shake off. She had tried to act fine, but I knew better.I didn’t think. I didn’t ask for permission. I just grabbed my keys and stormed out.

Victor's POV I tasted regret the second her lips touched mine.Elara kissed me right in the middle of the greenhouse.I didn’t kiss back. I couldn’t. I froze, not because I didn’t know what to do, but because I couldn’t believe the nerve.Withou

Selene's POV I hadn’t left my room in two days. The curtains were drawn so tight not even a flicker of moonlight could sneak in. The whole place smelled like spilled wine, regret, and something rotten. Probably me. I hadn’t showered. I hadn’t eaten. I just lay there, curled up in Victor’s oversized T-shirt like it meant something. Like it didn’t smell like betrayal. My throat was still sore fr

  • The Rejected Luna,The Hidden Heiress   Chapter 65

Selene's POV After Lisa had left, I stared at the gown for a long time before finally picking it up. The style was indeed perfect. The colour, the fit, even the small details matched my taste exactly.I was really surprised Victor still remembered what I liked, but I tried to tell myself that it didn’t matter. That I didn’t care. Yet, when I finally tried on the gown and looked at myself in the mirror... I felt something I hadn’t felt in a long time.

Victor's POV I didn’t answer Elara's question right away. Instead, I looked at her, really looked at her. Elara was beautiful, no doubt. Smart, too. She knew how to use her words like a weapon, how to make a man feel seen without giving him anything real. I understood that game—I had played it before. But I wasn’t in the mood for games. Not anymore.

  • The Rejected Luna,The Hidden Heiress   Chapter 63

Victor's POV I had already met Elara twice before that afternoon in the garden. The first time was the day the Nightbreeze Pack delegation arrived. I was in my office, knee-deep in territory maps and council reports when Abel stepped in, clearing his throat like he always did before giving me news I wouldn’t like.“Alpha Thorne didn’t come,” he announced, standing at attention.
