Selene's POV

The yelling grew louder as two guards stepped forward to block the doorway. They were standing tall and firm, arms crossed, eyes fixed straight ahead like statues.

Vanessa, however, didn't look like she had any plans of backing down. She started waving an ivory envelope in the air, the sound of her heels echoing loudly on the marble floor as she tried to push her way inside. Her voice was sharp and proud, every word dripping with a sense of entitlement.

“Look, I have the invitation right here!” she said sharply. “This invitation was addressed to Alpha Victor and his Luna, and we are here to represent him.”

The guards didn’t move an inch.

“Miss, the invitation was not addressed to you,” one of them replied, his voice calm but firm. “It was specifically for Alpha Victor and his Luna, no additional guests were listed.”
