Forty-four

As Alpha Hendrix was about to make the turn to find Aria, his phone vibrated heavily in his pocket. He ignored it and went after the task at hand. He needed to get Aria. Nothing was stopping him.

He was about to make the turn again when his phone vibrated hard again in his pocket. This annoyed him so much so that he retrieved his phone angrily away from his pocket and was about to attack the person on the other end of the phone.

He stopped when he saw that it was Peter. Peter never called him for stupid reasons. Something must have come up.

He picked up the phone and put it to his ears. "Speak Peter. What is it?" Alpha Hendrix asked.

Peter's voice trembled as he spoke. He must have been shaken to the core. "Alpha Hendrix. . .they attacked my family. Th— they attacked my—" Peter stopped as he could not continue any longer.

Alpha Hendrix dropped the task he had at hand immediately. He wondered if he would be able to make it on time before Peter were to hurt or do something bad to himse
