Alpha Hendrix sighed again before following Peter out the door. He could feel that Peter was still tensed. He felt bad for snapping at Peter like he had done earlier.

Peter was and would always remain loyal. He had always stood by him even in dark times. He never once betrayed him. He was honest and he made the best accounts for everything that happened. He could always rely on Peter.

Peter remained silent as he led his Alpha through the corridor and down the flight of stairs. His entire being was fixed on the task at hand. Which was getting his alpha to the spot of the crime.

"How's Linda?" Alpha Hendrix suddenly asked breaking the silence that had long fallen over them.

Peter turned to the Alpha surprised that he had asked him a question. By now, they had already made it to the exterior of the Alpha's mansion.

Peter was surprised that he was asking for his mate. He never asked about his mate, not since Rachelle died. He stared at his Alpha strangely before finally answering.
