Chapter Seventeen

Aurora’s POV:

“Please do not say that, Emily. You’re my daughter too. And I love you so much. This doesn’t change anything between us,” My dad said trying to placate her. He was holding her hands now.

Small bursts of jealousy welled up within me. They were very close, that much was obvious. I didn’t know how to feel about the daughter who had grown up with my father’s love for years. I was envious that they shared such a bond. I couldn’t bear it anymore and looked the other way.

“Both of you are my daughters. And I’m the happiest person on earth right now. I finally feel complete, having both of you here.” My father said and I had to look back at them again.
