“What information do we have?” I asked my father as he pulled up the schematics on the four-D visual. The terrain of our land and about a few thousand miles in all directions pull up on the hologram map. It shows all the mountains and forest in exact detail.
“We have the group being taken from here. Just outside the Crimson River pack. The Alpha has sent out search parties, and we have two teams that I deployed.” My father pauses and
Gideon We attack in dead silence, taking the rogues by surprise. Shifting into our wolves and Lycans to those who haven’t already. I grab two men who are using a woman as a shield. Ripping their heads from their bodies. I scan the grounds telling her to hide. She nods in fear but takes off listening to me. My eyes scan the area, watching my team annihilate these rogues. Addam slams his claws into the throat of a rogue as he separates his head from his body. The rogue falls in pieces to the dirt. I feel someone moving behind me. I dodge their attack while I reach back, flipping them over my shoulder. Once I slam them to the ground, I snap their neck, turning the head completely around. “My king!” A woman runs up to us. “the leader Roane has my daughter!” she screams, and I follow her fingers. Coming from the woods, I see the leader with a girl. He is dragging her as she tries to fight. I nod, taking off after him as a few rogues try to stop me.
GideonI stalk over towards the one rogue we needed to try and find a clue. He is dead at the hands of Sheba. “What the hell were you thinking?” I ask her. “I told you to stand down. I told you not to chase after him. Yet you decided to do whatever the hell you wanted.” “I’m not sorry, I saw he was about to run, and I knew we only had one shot.” “So you now know better than your King? So please tell me what your plan was? Why would you attack first and not try and question him at all?” “He said he was going to kill me. I heard his thoughts! I swear I have never been able to do that before, but he was going to rip my throat out. There was no negotiating with him. He was here to kill so his team could escape with the women. I swear, Gideon, I want these assholes just as badly as you do.” “Yet you still decided you knew best. I can honestly say you will be on a different path if you ever do that again. Are we understood?”I tower over her, but she stands
ColetteI hold the wine in my mouth as Alex looks across at me. I smile as his eyes burn into me. I have no option but to swallow the sip of wine I have let slip into my mouth. Alex watches with interest as I mind-link my Lycan. ‘Palesa, can you please do whatever you can to help me.’I swallow feeling the cool beverage move down my throat. I place the glass down and smile while reaching for the spoon. I began to take another bite into the chocolate cake. As usual, I love to eat the slice from the edge of it.“Damn Colette, I do remember you eating your cake this way.”“Yep, this is one thing for sure I do. I mean think about it? The best part of the slice is always the edge. So why wait for that? I can get it right away and not waste any time.” I giggle and noticed that what I said wasn’t that funny. I pulled the wine to my lips and watched as Alexander seemed happier t
GideonI take a step closer to this lean man who is more and more getting on my last nerve.“Are you questioning my ability to lead? Because if you are, that is a direct challenge of my title. Of my crown.” I watch as his eyes go large and he takes a step back.“No, not at all, future King Gideon. I would never make such a presumption. Please forgive me if I have overstepped.” He lowers his head and exposes his neck towards me. A sign of resignation and respect, yet coming from him, I am sure it’s all a lie. He wants what we have and is upset that his family didn’t get it. He wants the crown by any means and if getting his daughter one step closer to his claim of power.“I need to go prepare my men for battle. I look forward to fighting alongside Sheba. Above all else, she is one hell of a fighter. Good day Elder.” Turning, I head down t
Colette‘Colette, I am sorry to interrupt you, but I needed to let you know something.’ I hear Gideon come through on a mind-link, and it is like a breath of fresh air. I gave a small smile as I looked across the table, seeing Alexander place a wine order for us. We had been eating just fine, but he insisted on getting us another bottle of wine. I am not interested in this date, but I am smiling and pushing through. The fact that all I want to do is make it back to the room I am sharing with Samantha is exactly where I want to be. Anywhere else but with Alexander.“Sweetheart, what do you think? Red wine is great with this steak I am having. You will love it.” He smiles as his hand reaches over and touches mine. I quickly pulled away out of sheer response. My body is conformed to Gideon. My Lycan is connected to his. No one else is going to come between us. But I see the sick look in his eyes that gives me a

I hate to have you leave your mate right now …”“It must be done. Colette understands the mission at hand. Hell, she is only here because I went out on another mission and found her with the other ladies. It is my responsibility to look after my people.”“Very well, son. Take your team and some of the new recruits. Here is where the groups met.” My father points ou
