Chapter Fifty-Nine

Savage

Opening my eyes with a cry as the pain of leaving my mates and my babies behind tears through my body.

“Goddess, please, let me return!” I cry out as I fall to my knees.

“I am sorry, Savage. The forces that govern life and death are beyond my reach.” She explains softly as she wraps her arms around me.

“How do I return to them?” I whimper out as I replay the battle and all my beings taking over. To me, getting to see each of my mates once last time.

“You must seek the one who creates and takes life.” She whispers to me while looking around.

As I gaze at the vast expanse of the realm beyond, feeling the weight of my loss pressing down on me, a determination ignites within me. I know what I have to do. Clenching my fists, I stand up, my resolve hardening with each passing moment.

“I will find the one who creates and takes life,” I declare with a newfound sense of purpose. The Goddess nodding solemnly, her eyes full of both pity and admiration for my unwavering determination.
