At the Alpha's house.
Damien clutched his chest, unable to breathe. It had been that way since he rejected his mate. The panic attacks were constant and terrible.
It felt like a part of him died as well, but he would go though it, he would win and survive it. Many others did. It was better than having an ugly Omega for a mate. It'll be a shame and stain on him. After all he'll be Alpha soon, having an Omega for a Luna was terrible for the pack.
"He's burning up." His mother Jessica, the Luna of their pack said. She held the ice over his head as he shivered. She hissed in annoyance.
"This wasn't how I envisioned it to go." Alpha derrick said. He paced about with his hand on his chin thinking. "Why?" he asked no one in particular. "An Omega wolf," Then he laughed in amusement.
"Fat and ugly, it's a good thing he rejected her. He'll survive it, we don't want such a thing attached to our names. For goodness sake, why is he paired with an Omega of all wolves in the world. I still don't understand why we're being cursed like this. We've become the laughing stock of the ton." Jessica exasperated.
"What do we do about it? Alpha Damien asked his wife.
"What do you know about the girl?" She asked back.
"My beta did some work, her Mother is an Omega, her dad and iota wolf. Poor family. Nothing special." He explained.
"As long as she's here it's going to keep causing us problems. Especially for Damien." Jessica pointed out.
Alpha derrick was in deep thought about it and he finally seemed to agree. "I'll have her gone." He said and his Luna smiled in return.
It was two days already since she was discharged from the hospital. She found herself getting numb and detached from the world. Nothing mattered, not the curse, the moon goddess, or her supposed to be mate. She hid in her room shedding tears like she'd always do. Feeling pathetic and miserable.
Her room was messy, she lacked the energy to do anything other than eat and sleep, life passed like a blur to her. the stabbing feeling in her chest not lessening.
She hugged her knees on the floor groaning in pains and agony, living was becoming harder every passing day. She looked at the knife that she had used to slice fruits some minutes ago, it was calling to her. She crawled to it and picked it up.
Here was a chance to end her misery, she could just slit her throat and die right away. It wasn't as sharp as she wanted it to, slitting her throat swiftly will be a difficult task.It would be too painful.
She stared at it and wondered if she were to stab herself how painful would it be and how long will it take to bleed out. Her heart raced in fear and panic, but she was finally going to be at peace that was the most important thing. She stood up hurriedly, looking for a pen, scattering the heap of clothes and objects until she finally saw one. she tore out a piece of paper and began a letter to her parents.
"Dear Mom, Dear Dad. I've tried hard, i can't fight anymore, I've lost the fight in me. I'm sorry for the pain I know this will cause you both, I want you to know that I love you more than anything in the world. Thank you for being the best parents any child could ever ask for. I love you so much."
She ended the letter with your beautiful daughter Pamala. Her heart ached and she cried harder, her parents had tried hard to help her through, but it was draining them more than they would ever admit. She hate to be the reason they were suffering so much. She folded the later neatly, reaching out tear another piece of paper so as to write to jade.
"Pumpkin, you're a miracle in my life, a sun in my raining days. I hate to leave this way but I have to. Some people are just destined to end up like this. I'm sorry I won't be there to fulfill all the promises we made to each other. Please forgive me jade. Stay well, I love you."
She ended the letter with your best friend. Repeating the same folding process and placing them together on the small dress table by her bed. She sighed as she reached for the knife again staring at it until she made up her mind to take her own life. Pamala closed her eyes counting from one to three she raised the knife and with force and she stabbed her stomach. The pain hit her gut, it was so painful that air left her lungs, she screamed and fell to the floor groaning and shivering, tears streaming down her cheeks . She felt the chills, it ran through her body like currents, she couldn't make out anything. It was all blur, her groans fading softly.
"We're gonna be okay." She muttered to no one, her wolf retreating back into her mind caging itself in the four walls of her head, she felt it drift farther away from her reach. This was it, this was the end. She's going to a place where she'll be happier and not treated cruelly.
Her blood pooled around her figure, soaking the yellow dress she had worn. A bitter smile on her face. She wanted to be selfish this once, her parents would grief, Pamala knew how painful it'll be for them and her best friend but they wouldn't understand. Dying was better than living like this. It was suddenly too bright, her head was light, she wanted to sleep and never wake up, so she closed her eyes, but as she did, she heard distant familiar voices, speaking in hushed tones. That was all she heard, followed by the sound of things falling and a loud cry.
Pamala was relieved when she saw a tent from afar. Blue was a traveler indeed. She couldn't wait to get to the tent, her body was about to give up."Just a little more, you can do it." Blue told her. She forced herself to move until they finally made it. She got in and fell on the makeshift bed tiredly. Blue hurriedly shuffled through a bag as she removed some medicines and bandaids. She ripped the fabric of Pamala's jeans, dabbing the wound with spirit, Pamala cried in pain. She finished cleaning the wound and wrapping it in the gauge."You'll heal fine. You might scar, I'm sorry." Blue said. Pamala could barely mutter a word. "Rest in here for a bit. I'll hunt us breakfast and bring you water" Right after she said that she was out. Her head ached so bad, she was burning up. It was better to die than to live like this. She wished she would die from her injury. Her eyes closed, her breaths were quick and heavy. In her trance She saw that werewolf from the woods, the grey massive w
She expected cars to come chasing after them. But none came, the drive was quiet."Why are we not chased, what will happen to Damien if the alpha finds out he helped me escape " She asked, she hated the worry she felt. He didn't deserve it, but the bond make you feel stupid things "Nothing " The man replied barely glancing at her."Do you know where my parents are, please I'll like to see them for the last time " She said to him. He didn't reply, his eyes were focused on the road."Please, I don't mind seeing them from a distance I just want to make sure they are okay" She pleaded."I know you're not heartless. You're helping me run away, please help me see them I beg you, I won't cause any problems I just-""Just shut up! I'm only carrying out orders here" He yelled at her.She kept quiet, he shoulders fell in defeat, tears stung her eyes. When Pamala looked outside the window of the car, she still noticed the familiar building of her pack, she thought they were going to the borde
Pamala followed the men and they got into the van, then they drove off. She couldn't even make out what they looked like. She was terrified for both herself and her parents. The situation wasn't good at all, someone had died. It won't be taking lightly at all. Her parents killed sentinels to protect her. But how many people will support them and say it was self defense. She sobbed quietly all through the ride, the men didn't pay heed to her. They arrived at the pack house, just like she had suspected. It was the alpha's doing, only he could send soldiers after her family but what was the reason. It was the same mansion that they came to before, there wasn't even anytime to admire it. She was in distraught. They dragged her roughly even when she didn't make any attempt to struggle or run. The insides were cold and null. She didn't understand how someone could live in here, it was beautiful but it lacked warmth of any sort. There was no noise, just the sound of her sobbing as the men
Two weeks passed like a blur, anxiety crippled Pamala. There were no other letters or threat. Whoever it was must have been bluffing, it was a silly trick. She didn't dwell too much on it. She was anxious about stepping outside, now the news of her Rejection had spread like wildfire she didn't want to people people throwing her looks of mockery or pity anywhere she went to, so she didn't go out at all. But it would be good to find a job and support her parents now that her hope for a mate was crushed. It was hard living, she felt like a shell. It hadn't gotten better but she was learning to cope with the pain."Pamala!" Jade screamed."What is it?" She groaned, using the pillow to cover her ear from the loud screaming. "Pam. Jade brought this wonderful idea to us" kala said excitedly. It woke her up instantly. She sat on the bed and saw that her entire family was there."Since it's a good day. The weather is bright and wonderful, you've not been outside for a while now, we've decided
"She's stable, luckily you found her on time before she could bleed out. She didn't strike a fatal place, it could have been a lot worse. She needs a lot of psychological help. A Rejection is no joke" The doctor said to her parents. "Thank you Doctor. Thank you for saving her life" Kala thanked profusely. "She'll be conscious soon, stay with her so you're the first people she sees when she wakes up." "Thank you " her father added. The doctor left. Pamala could hear the faint sob of her mother, it broke her heart. She didn't want to wake and see this, that was why she needed to go a peaceful place. "Pamala. I'm so sorry, we couldn't protect you. We'll help you go through this." Her mother held her hands. "Don't cry, she'll be startled when she wakes up and see you crying " Mathew told his wife. Kala wiped her tears reluctantly. Pamala thought it was safe to open her eyes now, so she did slowly "mom," she whispered. "She's awake! Thank you goddess. Pamala, how are you feeling, doe
