Chapter Eleven

Rhett headed back to the hospital, his stomach turning in knots as he got closer and closer. He didn't know if it was the anticipation or if he was excited. Finding one's mate was a big deal. Part of him didn't know if he was ready for that. He parked his car in the parking lot and gripped on to the steering wheel. He took a deep breath before he shut off the vehicle. He looked at the hospital building and the urge to run crept up on him. He had never run away from anything no matter the danger. This was new to him. He forced himself to walk into the hospital .The nurses looked up but didn't bother him. He remembered the instructions the nurse had said previously to him as he followed them. He turned down a hall and then walked into the critical care unit. He felt the guilt in the pit of his stomach as he walked into the unit. A nurse looked up from the nursing station and nodded to him, pointing him the way to Aldric’s room. He nodded his thanks back and walked to the room.
