Chapter 11

**Audrey's POV**

My heart thumped loudly in my chest. I could still remember her stern instructions vividly, I’d planned on following it too but now I cannot remember how I’d been so drawn to the king that I totally forgot to stay away from him.

As soon as she flew past the doorway like a bird, I immediately released my grip on him, and took a few steps backwards while I ignored his eyes that were presently narrowed at me.

My breathing and pulse were ragged as I thought of what she would probably do to me now that she’d seen me, but at the same time, I tried to control myself, she was no God but simply someone I could easily maneuver my way around.

"What's wrong?" He asked and I immediately shook my head, forcing a smile.

Almost immediately, I bowed to him and rushed out of his office, with my mind preoccupied with thoughts of how I would avoid the bitchy woman’s wrath.
