**Jacob's POV**
“What did you do to Audrey that made her disrespect me in the most annoying way possible?” My father yelled the second I walked into the living room.I shut the door behind me and gave him a confused look. What was he talking about, and why would Audrey disrespect him? Was she out of her mind or what?
“Father, I don't understand what you're talking about.” I let out a sigh.
“Didn't Audrey leave the palace to meet you today?” He asked, his eyes boring into mine.
“Yes, she did, but we got into a fight.” I answered.
“I knew it, what did you do?” He startled, staring intently at me as if he knew the next thing I was going to say even before I said it.
“I rejected her.” I answered.
“What!”
“She was just so annoying and unbearable and I had to do it. Besides, I never needed her anyway. Eventually, you'd become Alpha, and I'd be your heir.” I replied, smirking.
I could see the effects my words had on my father, for almost immediately his frown vanished, replaced by a bright grin that lit up his face.
“Now it’s only natural that you’d think just like your father. I still feel a little uncomfortable that you rejected the girl though, I needed her.” He said slowly, thinking.
“Should I try to make up with her, and then dump her again when we've achieved our goal?” I asked.
“That’s a very childish question spewing from your mouth! Do you even have any idea what rejection means?” He chuckled.
“So, what do we do then?” I asked.
“We organize this coup and impeach the Alpha,” He answered with a sly smile. “Now, come over here and take a look at this.”
I walked over to him, glancing at the wide piece of paper spread out on the table in front of him. It was a blueprint of the palace and there were so many red dots everywhere that I couldn't comprehend what they meant.
“What are these?” I pointed to the red spots and he chuckled.
“You're old enough, but you still think like a baby, you moron! Use your head.” He thundered at me.
“I'm sorry.” I quickly apologized to avoid a slap in my face.
“The red dots are the soldiers that I have positioned in numerous parts of the palace. I succeeded in getting some of his guards under my control, so that the attack would be easy.” He said
“All we have to do is wipe them all out and that throne will be ours.” Father chuckled, sat down and brought the bottle of whiskey to his mouth.
“What about Audrey? Is she going to get killed as well?" I asked.
“Of course she would get killed. Don't worry, I'll let you do the honors.” He smiled.
I knew what he wanted, he wanted me to be the one who would kill Audrey that day.
“What do you have to say about that, son?” Father asked.
I simply nodded.
Father took his time to brief me on how the attack was going to take place. He emphasized that I should be by his side at all times, and I nodded, fully aware that I couldn’t kill Audrey…
***
Days passed by with things becoming a lot more frustrating than they were already. Audrey, on the other hand, made it her duty to avoid Elora and I like plagues.
My only consolation was that I didn’t need her anyway; the only things that angered me about was because of how happy she was, like nothing happened to her.
There was a time she even caught Me and Elora kissing at the side of the road and acted like she saw nobody.
Anyway, I didn't intend to bother myself too much about it, I already knew that she would die soon, but by my father’s blade...

The day for the coup and take over came faster than I expected. Different soldiers were lurking at every corner, getting ready for the signal.
Father took I and one other soldier with him as we marched into the palace and since my father was the beta, he was granted free entrance. He whispered to the guard following us, and he nodded before going forward.
When we got to the throne room, we met them chattering away like the pathetic family they were.
“Huxley, you aren't supposed to be in the palace today. What brought you here?” He smiled, but my father kept a straight face.
“I just came to say my last goodbye.” Father replied.
“What do you mean by that?”
As they talked, my gaze landed on Audrey, who sat like she didn't have a care in the world. I didn’t know how I felt about that though but I knew it made me quite uncomfortable.
“Alpha Raven, you're no longer worthy to be the Alpha of this pack and It is high time someone of greater caliber takes up the position as the new Alpha.” Immediately father landed the blow, Audrey dropped what she was doing to look up at me and then back at her father.
“And who is that?” The Alpha asked.
“I am. I am now the new ruler, so step down and give the throne to me.
“This is insane! How can you wake up one morning and all you can think of is how to come here and tell me to step down from my throne? You've committed treason and will be punished.” Alpha Raven yelled.
“Are you stepping down, or do I have to make you?” My father in turn snarled in a way that sent chills down my spine.
“I now see how wicked, heartless and mean you really are, Beta. It seems you and your son have everything in common. Your son betrayed my daughter and now you’re betraying me too.” she yelled, and I rolled my eyes.
“It's obvious you want it the other way,” My father said slowly. Before I knew what was happening, swords came flying, clinking until one of them struck the queen on the chest.
“Mother!” I heard Audrey wail and watched her grab frantically at her mother, who had fallen to the floor with blood spurting out of the open wound.
I felt a slight tugging at my chest region when suddenly she looked up at me with teary eyes, but then I smirked.
I could see the Alpha's eyes darken in rage. He drew his sword and advanced towards my father.
Father drew his sword too and a heated fight ensued between both of them. I stood where I was and allowed my father to do the fighting. It was when the guards started rushing in that I started fighting too.
Both my father and the Alpha shifted and fought voraciously.
I heard Audrey scream and the next thing I knew, she was in front of me and had given me three hard slaps across the face.
With my hands planted firmly on my waist, I stared confusedly at the two crying babies in front of me and no matter what I did or said to calm them down, nothing seemed to be working. Seemingly Lost in confusion and not knowing what to do, I tried hard to comfort the crying babies in front of me but they instead laid, crying tirelessly that at a point, I did not know what else to do for they could not stop crying. I carried one of them in my arms and began to rock it gently, the other laid in the crib built for the two babies. I continued this way, giving turns to each of them as I held them in my arms attempting to get them to fall asleep but they wouldn’t. That did little to make them quit though and I grew frustrated but I knew I could not give up. I had tons of work to do, a lot of paperwork also and the thought of attending to those immediately after dropping these kids filled me with so much tiredness that I felt I would drop dead. Since the takeover from Jacob, there
Audrey's POVFeeling happy and fulfilled that I had fulfilled my words and that I had been able to Kill Jacob in the exact way I had imagined it, I smiled to myself thinking of how this was the first time I felt like I had done something worth deserving as I stared down at his decapitated body which was now covered in a of his own blood, and could vividly see the hole I made on his heart.A smile got stuck on my lips and I couldn't let it go. I allowed it, wondering why Ian had this weird stare on me."You finally killed the predator, after being the prey for so long. You're taking over the predator's land." I muttered to myself as I stared at his blood dripping neck, making trails as I walked, I wanted them to see that I had killed Jacob and ended his reign of terror and destruction.I walked out to the corridor where she listened to the silent gasps and the scared look on the faces of the people.I held the head in my hands and showed it to the people."This marks the end of this he
Audrey's POVI knew Jacob was a bit surprised that I had smiles all over my face, despite the fact that he had a knife pressed on my neck.He was a bit stubborn and I wondered what I would say to him that would make him move the knife away from my neck despite all the white lies I had told him. It was a little confusing to watch him and the cynical smile on his face and at the same time, I was bothered because I knew he was psychotic and could do anything."You could just remove this knife, I would surely guarantee your safety." I said quietly as he pressed the knife deeper into my neck, it was hurting but I couldn't let out a tear, knowing that it would mean defeat and I hated being defeated by clumsy enemies such as Jacob. "Do you expect me to believe you?" He retorted sharply as he pressed the knife, adding a little force to it. When he wasn’t watching, I tilted my head slowly, in a bid to pull my neck away from the sharp blade. "Come on, you have my word, I would surely beg Kad
Kaden's POVI loved the fact that Logan had to turn against his pack, knowing fully well that Jacob turned them against him. Having killed some of his men, Logan grew tired of killing and felt like setting it amicably. They surrounded him as he let down his guard, he told his men to do the same as they all stopped fighting, Jacob's soldiers were afraid, I guess filled with that thought that they were just leading them to a trap."Why won't you fight us?" The Chief guard questioned as the guard paved the way for him to walk through. "I can't, we can keep on wasting our strength on each other when the real devil is up there watching us." Logan explained, wondering how Logan tends to make this work, it would be hard and it might get ugly. "What do you mean?" The Chief guard was confused. "Jacob is a man that would surely have you all killed if need be. He wouldn't hesitate to threaten the lives of your family if you dare flout his orders" Logan uttered, wearing a smile on his face, ho
Kaden's POVI felt uneasy, knowing that I had my reservations with Audrey's plot, but I had to give in, she had it all planned out and now that I thought about it, mine had loopholes. If we had attacked Jacob as I planned, he would have escaped or better still led us into one of his unforseen traps which would leave us in jeopardy; harming my men, weakening my manpower and having a strong hold on my resources. But with Audrey's plot, she handles on the inside, while we take care of his men outside which would make everything even and provide Jacob with an extremely slim chance of escaping or having to use someone as bait while trying to escape. "I just hope Audrey succeeds with her plan, I'll take care of these ones here with my own plan," I muttered to myself, knowing that my men were also waiting for my signal.I assured myself, rigging off every fear and trying to remain at peace as I waited for a signal to show that Audrey was in trouble. For now though, I hadn't felt any pa
AUDREY’S POVI waited for Jacob’s reply to my sarcastic but true comment about the palace but it did not come, the intent of it had not fazed him a bit I noticed and I began to wonder what went on through his mischievous mind. Jacob gently placed his arm around my back and I flinched at the feel of his strong arms around me but let him guide me to a chair close to his throne. Surprisingly he had not still said anything in reply to the view I had concerning the place, perhaps he had sensed the sarcasm in my voice even though I suspected that he knew what I said was true. He acted really sweet towards me while I acted according to the script I was writing in my mind.I sat down calmly on the chair he had offered me and he sat on the enormous throne. We started to talk and he asked about my trip there, asking if I had any troubles on my way. I sweetly replied to him, not forgetting to remind him of how I was capable of taking care of myself. I wondered why he and Kaden always felt that
