Chapter 56

Audrey's POV

I jolted up from my sleep when I felt a splash of water on my head and opened my eyes in horror when I caught sight of the scary looking men standing right in front of me with jeering expressions on their faces.

My cloth was drenched with water and some droplets found their way inside my ear, momentarily deafening me.

One of the scary looking men roughly pulled me to my feet with his mighty calloused hands and dragged me around like I didn’t weigh more than a rag doll.

I felt insulted and it infuriated me but I kept my mouth shut in order to find out first what was happening to me before I took my chances.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked them but instead of an answer, a slap went across my face, making me stagger for a minute. One of the other men looked at me angrily and my face burned.

"You are not expected to utter a word," he thundered and I kept shut.
