Chapter 9

**Audrey's POV**

The sound of his voice made me shiver, but not in fear. I couldn’t quite explain why I suddenly got goosebumps all over; it almost felt like he had awoken something in my body, something I couldn’t quite understand.

"I said, who did this to you?" He asked as his hand went towards my face gently, but firmly. I winced from the contact, not sure of what his intentions were.

I tried not to let my tears fall as he continued, his grip on my face tightened and he leaned closer. "Who." He demanded again.

"Uhm." I didn't know what to say, what could I say? "It doesn't matter anymore." His eyes widened slightly.

"Whenever I ask a question, I demand an answer so don't go telling me shit like it doesn’t matter when it obviously does!" He snarled in my face, I swallowed.

Being in close proximity with him was alarming, I was aware of him, everything about him, how good he smelt, I wanted to sniff him right now, he was beautiful. My eyes wandered across his body, looking for flaw
