Chapter 6: Two different people

“A large hand from behind supported Amanda, so fortunately, she did not fall and hit the floor.

“Hey! People are new here, don't tease like that."

Gregori coldly shouted, causing the person behind him to stand up straight. It turned out to be a small guy, with monolid eyes, a face exuding agility, vivacity and friendliness.

"It's okay man!" Amanda straightened up and didn't want him to scold him anymore.

Gregori did not look at Amanda, cold eyes went straight to the office. Amanda feels that the brother of today is completely different from yesterday.

The guy with apologetic eyes looked at Amanda: "I'm sorry! I didn't expect to be so scared."

Amanda errantly followed her senior into the office.

“Are you going to the HR department?” The man turned his head and asked.

"Yes!" She raised her eyes to answer, then looked down again.

Amanda did not understand why Gregori became a complete stranger today. It is no longer the cheerful and enthusiastic Gregori of last night.

They seem to be two different people. Or are they twins? Not true, or are you afraid of intimacy in the workplace?

"Hey you! What's your name?" Amanda quickly walked up to get acquainted.

The man was excited when he saw Amanda taking the initiative to start a conversation.

“My name is Eric. You're Amanda, right?"

"Yes!"

Amanda answered yes, then asked again: "What kind of person is Gregori?"

Eric happily told Amanda: "I just met him. Cold but very good. Only 5 years into the position of director, he has brought his company into Glasgow from no name to the largest in the import-export industry here.

She also heard this story when meeting at the company. But how can you be so cold? Well, let time answer, Amanda said nothing more and continued.

“Come on, I can only lead you here. If you need help with anything, just search for Eric128 on the email system and your phone number and email will appear.”

Amanda nodded, he also turned on his heel and walked away. She remembered something and said the following: "Thank you!"

He turned around with a big smile, two fingers raised to his forehead and then lightly waved a military salute.

She smiled at him, feeling much more secure when she met a kind person like Eric.

“Knock knock knock…”

 "Come in!"

After three knocks on Amanda's door, a cold voice spoke from inside the room. Amanda grabbed the doorknob, turned it slightly, and pushed it in. There are 5 people in the room. In front of the desk in the left corner there is a sign that says head of the department, but she is not there. In the right corner is the deputy head of the department, Vera. Running along 3 friends in a row between the two sisters are three young brothers and sisters.

"Sit there and wait for me!"

Mrs. Vera jerked her head and looked at the place near her where there was a gray sofa. Amanda sat there and nodded to everyone in the room, afraid to talk and disturbing the brothers and sisters working.

The whole office was silent, suddenly hearing the sound of documents and documents and the error of typing the female employee sitting opposite. Amanda leaned back on the sofa, crossed her legs and waited.

"You're Amanda?" A sister sitting in the middle asked, her face friendly, well-made with red lips.

"Yes, I'm Amanda!" She raised her head to look directly at her sister.

"I'm asking for more in that profile picture, especially the Au body." She smiled and gave a somewhat rude compliment.

"When I say that, he's not used to judging me as rude." The sister next to him interjected.

“It's okay! I am also a person who is quite comfortable in making jokes. I don't think deeply." Amanda half smiled, half wanted to remind the two sisters.

He sat in the left corner next to the head of the department, sitting quietly, not participating in the conversation. He’s probably someone who doesn't like gossip.

"Hey, Mr. Richard, give me a word." She sat in the middle and looked at her brother.

At this time, he looked up to see Amanda and his sister sitting in the middle and said: "My wife is jealous, I don't dare to talk about beautiful women." He smiled gently.

"This guy, boring!" She sat in the middle, glaring at him, then turned back to look at the computer screen.

He nodded to Amanda, he was indeed a guardian angel, freeing her from the clutches of public opinion.

After a while, Mrs. Vera also finished her work. She stepped out of her desk. The little dwarf, wearing a business dress, looked at her like a moving rectangular box.

Her face was still cold as she looked at Amanda: "Follow me to check in to the office!" She went first. Amanda followed.

"If you have anything to do here, don't look for the director, come and find me. He's friendly outside of the company, but he was always the man for the job when he entered the company. Do you remember?"

Amanda nodded. Vera's legs are short but fast and stocky. Although Amanda was tall, she still had to run after him.

She took Amanda to the stairs: "There is one floor, so take the stairs to strengthen your legs." Now I see her smiling happily.

"Yes sister".

Her shoes are quite high, probably about 9 inches, the sound of her clogs does not have a rubber sole, so it beats evenly on the floor.

Knock knock knock….

The sound of her clogs echoed throughout the stairs. Amanda was about to say why she didn't go to put on a rubber sole, but she could not hold back, afraid that her good intentions would turn into scrutiny.

"Sister! Boss Gregori is very difficult?" Amanda tried to find some more reasons for his confusion today.

"It's called the tough old man in the company." Vera still walked ahead, her head did not look back and said, "But you are an extremely good person, so everyone in the company respects you."

Now Amanda understood everything better. Yesterday's fantasies should also stop here. He is a cold, talented director, admired by many people. How can he pay attention to her?

As soon as I opened the elevator door to enter the 17th floor, it felt like stepping into the gates of hell. It's all dark with no light. Sister Vera stepped in first, she took Amanda's hand and pulled her into the scary darkness.

“Sister Vera!” Amanda only had time to shout out a sentence when Vera's cold hand pulled her into the dark, dark darkness. In front is a black curtain, Vera in front, open the curtain, silver drops of light drop from the ceiling to a small ball suspended in the air, level with Amanda's waist.

Tong tong tong…

The sound of water hitting the ball then splashed with a white light like real water. Leaving behind a drop of water is a series of colors, then disappearing again, allowing the next drop to fall.

Amanda stared at the strange thing, but was dragged into the darkness by Sister Vera. Is this an import-export company or hell on earth? Amanda was cold and sweaty.

"Afraid?"

Vera's voice was low and scared, just an arm's length away from hers when she saw it or not. Only when a drop of water fell, could Amanda see her face blurred.

After groping for 3 minutes, Vera's sister pulled her out of that mysterious room. Open up a modern office with colorful shapes suspended from the ceiling and walls.

“This scary idea from the marketing department. At first, the boss objected, but I don't understand how the manager over there convinced him to agree." Sister Vera explained to the strange room that scared Amanda.

"It was a bit scary at first, but then you know it's cool!" Amanda laughed.

Vera nodded in agreement. In fact, sometimes, when tired, standing alone in this place also feels interesting and awake to think things through more thoroughly.

Vera introduced the rooms on the 17th floor for Amanda to get acquainted with. This is the Sales department, this is the marketing department, this is the information technology department, and the innermost part is the room where I work, the technical room for pricing.

Sister Vera went first, Amanda followed. The rooms are connected so everyone stops working, some people stand up to look at the new person.

“Miss Vera, new employee? So pretty!"

"Do you have a husband?"

A series of joking questions from the brothers and sisters made the atmosphere cheerful and bustling.

"She doesn't have a lover yet. Where can she get a husband?" Sister Vera turned around and joked with them.

Amanda did not expect that Vera also knew how to joke like that. In her heart, Vera is a very cold person, rarely smiles, rarely speaks, indifferent to other people's jokes.

"I'm here!" Vera stopped in front of the room, waiting for Amanda to come closer.

"Who is that, Miss Vera?" A friend in the room asked loudly.

"Give back to the head of the department, Michael, a beautiful employee from London whose sunshine can shine directly to Glasgow." Vera smiled and continued inside.

The room was quite crowded, rows of white fork tables alternated with each other, about more than 20 people, both men and women.

A fawn-brown plywood table was placed in a separate place in the back of the room. The person sitting there was none other than the guy Amanda met in the elevator in the morning, the bearded guy who helped her up to the 18th floor.

"Oh, is it you?" Amanda gaped at him.

"Hello! Coincidence, isn't it?" The manager stood up from his desk and smiled.

Vera looked at Michael and then at Amanda: "Do you two know each other?"
