Chapter 4: Everything is just fantasy

His eyes at that time were not on the TV, but around the house. The karaoke room was tightly closed, the bedroom next door was still open, in front of Amanda's silver suitcase, which was still unfinished, strewn with things next to the cupboard. The shoe cabinet and the patterned mirror outside the door are still the same. Outside the balcony, there are two pots of roses and a wilted miniature tree.

"Amanda, if you don't mind, I'll let someone change the trees on the balcony tomorrow to make the house more alive." Gregori shouted into the kitchen to consult Amanda.

Amanda was touched, did not expect the director to be so kind and enthusiastic. "No need, I'll buy it myself in a few days!" Amanda is now bothering him. The first day he was afraid or not, he refused.

Gregori didn't say anything more, he poured a glass of water from the cold faucet at the water dispenser next to the drinking table and drank it in one gulp. He stared out of the balcony door, the starless, cold, oppressive night sky of the room making him a little sad.

"Mr. Gregori, you seem to be very familiar with this place?" Amanda sat in the kitchen, but her eyes were still on Gregori.

Gregori was surprised when Amanda realized this, maybe all his movements were too skilled with the furniture here for her to find out for sure. "Before, when I first joined the company, I didn't have a home, so I lived in this room for more than 2 years.

“Ah!”

Amanda I didn't expect to be able to stay in the room my boss used to live in, quite an honor for that. She nodded and whispered in her heart, hoping that she could develop as well as him.

Amanda I didn't expect to be able to stay in the room my boss used to live in, quite an honor for that. She nodded and whispered in her heart, "I hope I can develop as well as you."

Amanda stepped forward, around the table to go inside, "So how long have you been moving?" She was just curious about his potential for advancement while working here.

But that question, made Gregori uncomfortable. It felt like my brother was being interrogated so he dodged the answer. Gregori gets to the point where he's come here now.

"What happened to you? Tell me."

Amanda's face began to glow with fear again, she looked into the bedroom and began to tell the story of the wedding dress and the dress and the mirror, the karaoke room, the baby on the stairs too. All things that she had never seen before.

Amanda's body was a little cold, shivering with fear. Gregori saw this and poured a glass of warm water and gave it to Amanda, "Drink it."

Amanda put her hands on the surface of the cup so that the warmth from the water could radiate, helping her reduce the coldness from her hands running through her body. Her eyes were still darting around the room and remembering everything from before.

Gregori put a light hand on Amanda's shoulder to calm her down, "I think maybe you're tired from the road, plus the change of place, that's why. You also said that when you woke up you found yourself in bed, not sure what was going on. whether it's real or fake."

Hearing Gregori's words she also felt reassured, perhaps he and Vera were both right. Today she feels more tired than usual, not used to the cold weather here, tomorrow will be different.

Gregori continued, "Do you mind if I go around the examination rooms for a bit?"

Amanda nodded and followed in his footsteps. Entering the bedroom, still a sprawling suitcase unpacked, Amanda hesitantly ran to the room to close the lid and put it aside. "I've just arrived, so I haven't arranged it yet."

"It's okay, I understand." Gregori came in, looked in the closet where Amanda said there was a white wedding dress. Nothing inside, just a few hangers.

"There's another closet over here!" Amanda pointed to the closed door next to her, nervously waiting for Gregori to open it.

Gregori slowly approached, grasping the two handles of the two cabinet doors, which sprang open. Something black from the upper compartment slammed into his face and fell to the ground.

Ah Ah Ah…

Both of them shouted loudly. "It's okay, it's okay, it's just a mouse. It's probably been uninhabited for a long time, so it nests here, a few days for me to send it to the cat will be gone." Gregori stroked her face and comforted Amanda with a frightened face.

There's nothing inside this door. Gregori went to the bathroom to wash his face because of the mouse's jump in his face just now.

He stepped into the bathroom, it hadn't changed since he was here. Just a mirror that seems to have changed, not the old one he used to use. Gregori splashed water from the faucet on his face a few times, and when he looked up, he was startled. The face in the mirror was not him but a girl.

He took a few steps back, stroking the water that was still smearing his face, down to his eyes to see better in the mirror, but it was still him, nothing else. Maybe he was just as frightened by the rat as Amanda.

Stepping out of the bathroom door, his glossy face was let his hair fall down by the water, creating a style that Amanda loved so much. His heart was racing at that time, every line on his face was extremely attractive.

Being looked at by Amanda, Gregori suddenly asked, "What's wrong?"

Gregori's question was like a splash in the face, bringing her back to her senses. Amanda hurried out of the room, "There's another room." She pointed to the karaoke room next door.

Gregori nodded and walked over. He opened the door and it was dark inside. He with the power switch turned on, it is true that he has been here for a long time, as soon as he knew which task to turn on, the electricity was white. It's not like Vera and she got into a frenzy in the afternoon.

Gregori walked around the room, not seeing anything strange. He even sat down on a nearby chair and asked Amanda, "Do you want to try the vocal set?"

"Okay, let's wait for another time." Amanda shyly refused. Now, singing with him in a room like this would be judged by him as bad.

They go outside and Gregori closes the door with his hand. "So I'm fine!" Gregori stood in front of the karaoke room and asked Amanda.

"But what about the ghosts under the stairs?" Amanda remembers, it's true that she just saw it, and also dropped a bunch of food there.

"Then I'll take you to see it." Gregori suggested going and having a look, maybe finding some truth here.

Amanda stood up, hesitant for fear that seeing her again would be unbearable. The baby's head twisted like a rope, and the baby's pale green skin made her shiver again.

Gregori saw this and grabbed Amanda's hand, the warmth from his hand making her much stronger. Her grateful eyes looked at him, and he let go of her hands and clasped them together a little shyly. He didn't want this girl to misunderstand his good intentions. He himself just wanted to make Amanda feel more secure, not wanting to take advantage of her for anything.

Amanda's face was red, a little hesitant, her heart also began to skip a beat for him.

She crept forward, opening the door looking out into the hallway, empty of people, the usual apartment quiet but now it gave her chills. Going outside, looking back, Gregori was still standing tall, as if he didn't believe there was anything out there.

Approaching the door to the stairs, Amanda hesitated to open the door to enter. Gregori called out from behind, "I'll go back so I can see!"
