FAZER LOGINCorbin’s POV Marge and I were sitting in our room when I got back from checking the schedule for tomorrow’s fights. I dropped into the chair across from her and let out a breath. Tomorrow. Traci was fighting tomorrow. Again. Why that girl felt the need to prove herself every damn day was beyond me. “Why does she have to fight, Corb?” Marge asked softly. “What does she have to prove?” I opened my mouth to answer. But before I could even get a word out a big BOOOM echoed through the room. An explosion. The walls shook. The windows rattled. Everything in the room vibrated hard enough to make the pictures hanging on the wall tilt crooked. For half a second I froze. Then one thought slammed through my head. Traci. I was out of my chair before the echo even faded. The door burst open and Brody, Sam, and Trey practically fell into the room. “Corbin…” Trey didn’t even get to finish. I was already gone. My heart was beating so hard it felt like it was trying to break through
Roman’s POV I rushed toward her the second she stepped out of the bathroom. My chest tightened instantly. Blood covered part of her shirt. Bruises were already forming along her cheek and jaw while a small cut split her lower lip. Her breathing looked uneven too. Slightly shaky. Like adrenaline was the only thing still keeping her upright. Fuck. This was my fault. I should’ve never left her alone. “Hey trouble,” I said quietly while stepping closer. “How bad are you hurt?” My eyes scanned over her from head to toe carefully checking for anything serious. She leaned heavier against the doorway and somehow still managed a smirk. “Oh you know daddy,” she muttered sarcastically. “It don’t hurt. Just tickles a little.” A small chuckle escaped me before I could stop it. Yeah. Nothing but trouble. Titan snorted. “She just got attacked and still has jokes.” That sounded exactly like Traci. “What the hell happened?” Zayden barked suddenly. Traci’s head snapped toward him instantly
Traci’s POV The second the handle started turning, I moved. Slowly. Quietly. Carefully. Aurora was tense as I gripped the bottle tighter in my hand. My pulse hammered so hard against my ribs it physically hurt. I forced myself to breathe through it. One inhale. One exhale. I leaned in and put my hand on the door handle. I started to twist the knob. Then I backed away some. I stood there and watched as the door cracked open slightly. Then more. A figure slipped through the opening carefully before easing the door shut behind him. That was my chance. I swung my arm hard and threw the contents straight into his face. The scream that ripped out of him echoed through the suite instantly. “Oh shit!” he roared while stumbling backward clutching his face. “Yeah,” I snapped while tossing the empty bleach bottle at him. “Surprise asshole.” The bottle smacked him directly in the forehead before bouncing across the floor. He staggered again, blinded long enough for me to charge him
Raiden’s POV The second that asshole across the border smirked at us, my stomach twisted. The kind of twist that told you something already went wrong somewhere else. Beside me Zayden went still too. Completely still. Which said a lot because that idiot almost never stopped moving unless something serious caught his attention. The women suddenly didn’t seem funny anymore. Neither did the fake threats. Or the weapons. Or the way they kept trying to keep our attention focused on them. “Fuck. They set this up,” I muttered. Kael looked over immediately. “You thinking what I’m thinking?” “Yeah,” Zayden snapped before I could answer. “They wanted us away from the palace.” Every bit of amusement vanished instantly. The bastard leaning against the rock looked entirely too pleased with himself now. Like he already knew we figured it out too late. Nyx snarled violently. “We should kill him.” “Later,” I muttered under my breath. The woman closest to the border line pouted dramatically
Unknown POV These kings really think they’re smart. It’s almost cute. The security around this palace looked impressive at first glance. Warriors everywhere. Guards rotating constantly. Patrols circling the grounds like they were protecting some damn treasure vault. Yet it only took me a few hours to figure out exactly where they were hiding Traci. A few hours. That was it. People always underestimated how easy it was to blend in when everyone around you believed they were untouchable. Arrogance made people sloppy. And these royals? They practically drowned in arrogance. I slipped quietly through the first floor hallway while staying close to the walls. My movements were slow. Every few feet I stopped long enough to listen before moving again. Voices echoed somewhere farther down the hall. Laughter. It was staff. They were completely unaware. I smirked slightly before slipping into an empty supply closet as two maids rounded the corner carrying folded towels. One of them y
Zayden’s POV We headed straight for the southern border the second the mindlink came through about a disturbance. I expected a fight. Maybe an attack. At the very least somebody stupid enough to test us. What I did not expect was… whatever the hell this was. The second we stepped through the tree line I stopped dead in my tracks. “What the fuck,” I muttered. Beside me Raiden blinked slowly before dragging his hand down his face like maybe he was hallucinating. “Nope,” he muttered. “Still seeing it.” Kael stepped up beside us and stared openly at the scene in front of us. “Soooo,” he said slowly. “What exactly is the distraction?” Yeah. Good fucking question. Because fifteen idiots sat right outside our border casually holding weapons while laughing around like they were at some damn picnic. And that wasn’t even the weird part. No. The weird part was the women. Half naked women. I stared for a long second trying to process what exactly I was looking at while Elliott stood awk
