The celebration at Midnight continued deep into the night.

Warriors still spoke of Commander Megan’s victory over Rogan Sable. Cups were raised again and again, pride filling every corner of the hall.

But Kael’s words still lingered in the air.

“Peace is often followed by the darkest battles.”

Far from the hall, in the servant corridors beneath the palace…

An Omega moved quickly through the shadows.

Helen.

A young palace attendant.

 Quiet….. easily overlooked.

But tonight, her hands trembled, because she had already done something she could not undo.

Not far from her, in a private corridor outside Midnight territory…

A Redclaw warrior stood waiting.

Gideon.

Strong….. calm….. careful.

To everyone else, he was nothing more than a visiting guard attached to diplomatic exchange duties after the Champion Trial.

But to Helen…

He was something else.

Her escape….. her promise….. her future.

He held her gently as she approached.

“You came,” he whispered.

Helen nodded, nervous.

“I did everything you asked…”

Gideon smiled faintly.

“And you will be rewarded for your loyalty.”

Her eyes softened.

“You mean… I’ll be taken out of Omega status?”

He nodded slowly.

“No more servitude. No more invisibility.”

A pause.

“And marriage?”

He touched her cheek.

“Of course.”

That was enough.

Enough to blind her.

Enough to make her believe.

Back in Midnight Palace…

Helen had overheard something earlier the other night.

A powerful whisper between two love birds

A truth not meant for her ears.

“Commander Megan’s lover… she is carrying his child.”

Viera.

The secret Omega.

The hidden weakness.

And now…

Helen’s jealousy and hope twisted together.

She believed she was finally important enough to matter.

That following night, after the celebration of Megan’s victory…

Helen sent the signal.

A small message that signals deep……

A sealed note.

Passed through three corridors.

Attached with the Redclaw seal.

No one questioned it, because Helen was invisible.

And invisibility was her weapon.

Unseen by most.

But not by Gideon.

Not by Darius.

Far away in Redclaw territory…

Alpha Darius stood in silence as the report arrived.

A sealed message.

Delivered directly from Gideon.

He opened it slowly.

He read once.

Then again……

His expression did not change.

But the air around him did.

Cold…… still…… dangerous.

“Confirm it,” he said quietly.

Gideon bowed beside him.

“Yes, my Alpha.”

Darius turned slightly.

“The Midnight Commander… has produced an heir.”

A pause.

Then softly:

“With an Omega who is not officially recognized.”

Silence.

Then Darius smiled.

Not warmly….. not kindly.

But like a man who had just found the first crack in an unbreakable wall.

Helen was returning through the corridor when she noticed something strange.

Two Alpha guards were standing at the end of the passage.

Not moving…. Not speaking…. Just waiting for her.

Her steps slowed.

Something in her stomach tightened.

One guard stepped forward.

“Omega Helen.”

Her breath caught.

“Yes…?”

The second guard spoke calmly.

“You are required for questioning.”

Her voice weakened.

“Questioning? Why?”

A pause.

Then the answer came.

“Because a restricted message passed through your assigned route tonight.”

Helen’s heart dropped.

“I only delivered what I was told…..”

The first guard cut her off.

“And the person who gave you that instruction…”

“…does not exist in our records.”

Her blood ran cold.

That was impossible.

Gideon had said…….

Her thoughts stopped, because she suddenly understood something.

She had never been chosen.

She had been used.

Far away…

Darius closed the report.

His eyes lifted toward the darkness outside the palace walls.

“Now,” he said quietly.

“Midnight begins to question its own people.”

A pause.

“And once a kingdom begins to doubt itself…”

His smile returned.

“…it is already halfway broken.”

Inside Midnight Palace…

Kael suddenly stopped walking.

Something shifted in the air, not sight ….

Something deeper.

His eyes slowly turned toward the lower corridors.

His voice dropped low.

“Something has entered Midnight.”

Behind him, the celebration still continued.

But Kael no longer heard it the same way, because now…

it sounded like noise before a collapse.

And far beneath the palace halls…

Helen was taken awa

y into silence.

Not knowing that her small desire for a better life…

had just opened the first door of a war no one had announced.

The summons came before sunset.Alora stood quietly outside the royal chambers, her hands folded before her. Two Red Claw guards pushed the heavy doors open, and an elderly Omega spoke."Luna Mira will see you now."Alora stepped inside. The chamber was silent.Luna Mira sat beside the open window, one hand resting gently over the child growing within her. The golden light of the evening painted her face, but it could not soften the quiet storm in her eyes. She did not immediately speak.Instead, she gestured toward the chair opposite her."Sit."Alora obeyed. For a long moment, neither woman said anything. Finally, Mira broke the silence."You love Megan."It wasn't a question.Alora's fingers tightened slightly on her lap."I don't see how that concerns you, my Luna."A faint smile crossed Mira's lips."It concerns me because I understand women."She leaned back."A woman always recognizes another woman's longing."Still...Alora remained silent.Mira studied her carefully before co

  • The Rise Of The Midnight Heir    CHAPTER 46 _ The Silent Luna

The heavy oak doors clicked shut, sealing the master chamber in a heavy, echoing silence. Alpha Darius stepped into the dim, firelit room, his imposing silhouette casting long shadows against the stone walls.Across the hearth, Seraphine stood rigid beside the grand bed. Dressed in simple silk, she held herself with a cold, desperate dignity. Her hands were folded tightly in front of her, knuckles pale, but her chin remained lifted….A Luna refusing to completely break, even in defeat.Darius walked over slowly, his heavy boots clicking on the floorboards until he stopped just a few paces away. His dark eyes searched her face, taking in the faint tremor in her breath and the silent grief etched into her features."You didn't run," Darius said quietly, his voice low and commanding, yet carrying a complex edge."I gave you my word," Seraphine replied, her voice steady despite the tear stain tracing her cheek. "My yield for my people's safety. The guards are to stand down. “The ca
