Chapter Eight

Jumping the border.

With her airbag having already been deployed, Colette takes the brunt of the car hitting the tree and blood starts to flow freely from her nose. She has also banged her forehead and the cut is quite deep. Shit, Mav is going to literally kill me. If and a big if, I make it out of this attack alive.

She was already too injured for my liking and being, I hate to say it, only human…the warriors won’t be interested in her if I can lead them away.

“Keep pressure on the nose and get word to Mav as soon as you can.” I say to her as I climb out of the car.
