CHAPTER 34

Aurora

My eyelids opened to the beautiful sun's rays that reflected through my bedroom window. It had the perfect orange-yellow glow which gently touched my face like a lover’s caress.

I was greeted by the calm melodies of birds humming on the huge tree close to me. I stretched my hands feeling relaxed and energized. My mood was obviously brightened up remembering the note of last night.

“Meet me in the forest by noon…” My cheeks turned pink blushing, a million thoughts running through my head.

What plan does Darius have for me today? "Will he accept me as his mate…” I thought to myself. Instantly, a wave of anxiety washed over me. For many months, this was all that I dreamt of finally hearing those sacred words from Darius, making me be his Luna.

Finally, I got out of bed humming along with the birds from earlier as I wore my training gear. I took a deep sigh after getting ready and proceeded out of the room.

Even though it was still a few hours after daybreak, the palace hallway was crowded with workers all assigned with various duties actively moving around trying to accomplish their tasks. Some even bumped into me as I stepped out, as they were distracted with what they were reading from a list they were holding.

“Our apologies' lady Aurora…” Their eyes widened after the realization that I was the one they collided with. Their facial expression turned pale, filled with regret.  

“It’s fine, I stepped out without looking around at first,” I replied in a calm tone. They had a huge sigh of relief as they quietly tilted their heads and continued to walk quickly to their affairs.

I curved my lips slightly, seeing how serious Darius’ plans about making today run without any hitch. I felt some warm fuzzy feeling in my gut. Seconds later, I regained my composure and headed straight to the gym to train with Raven. “I also have to stay fit so I can look my best today.” I quietly told myself.

From the entrance, I already saw Raven practicing some amazing moves and exercises. I glanced at her in awe at her discipline and motivation. I stood for a few moments before Raven caught me staring and shot a glare at me.

“Are you just goin’ to stand there and not train?” Raven impatiently asked. I hurried in and removed my top jacket and joined her in the warm-ups.

We had sessions for many hours, yet all I could think of was my meeting coming up later with Darius. I smiled sheepishly throughout the exercises. Eventually, Raven observed my countenance.

“Someone is in a good mood today… I guess I need to add more rigorous training.” She playfully shoved me. I quickly snapped back to reality.

“Guess what? Darius sent me a note. I took a deep sigh. I was desperately waiting for her to ask, I couldn’t contain my happiness any longer.

Raven’s eyes widened in amazement. She remained silent for some few moments, then she lit up with a warm smile on her face.

“Congrats, that’s amazing. I knew he'd finally make his move one day. Although…” Her facial expression changed like she had something to tell me, yet she remained silent and met my gaze with joy.

“I’m really happy for you Aurora, you guys both deserve to be loved.” She gently pulled me close for a warm hug. I also hugged her back, closed my eyes and let out a deep sigh. Tears rolled down my cheeks as her words were heart-warming.

After several minutes, I got a tiny alarm notification on my watch. “Beep…11.30am.” My eyes widened in shock as I was surprised time went fast during my training session with raven. I slowly pulled away while wiping the tears on my face. She had a puzzled facial expression. “What’s going on?” she asked.

“I’m to meet him by noon, I've got less than 30 minutes to get set.” I started packing my gym bag and jacket hurriedly as I rushed out. Just before I stepped out, I casually waved at Raven.

“Goodluck!” She yelled at me. I curved my lips slightly to reveal an appreciative smile as I nodded my head. She quickly waved back as I zoomed back to my room. The palace workers were stunned as they never saw me returning to my room in such haste. Little did they know that my day was going to be unforgettable.

I got in and immediately rushed to change and take a shower. I stood in the shower with the water-drops running through me, while I fantasized about how Darius was going to ask me to be his mate and finally make me his woman with just wilderness all around us.

How we will roll all over in the forest all to ourselves with no distractions. As soon as I was done, I swiftly got out of the bathroom and covered up in my towel. My hair was still dripping, yet I approached my wardrobe to select out of the new clothes Darius bought for me,

“This is a special day, everything has to be perfect,” I said to myself. I still had some new clothes among the ones he bought for me, that were still new. I wanted to look my very best for him.

The dress that finally got my attention was a white gown with only straps without sleeves. It accentuated my figure smoothly without revealing too much, but just enough to rattle his mind endlessly.

After inspecting myself in the mirror, a wave of confidence washed over me. “ He wont'to be able to resist.” I encouraged myself. My face turned pink, blushing as I still didn’t believe what my reflection looked like. Several months ago, I was mocked by Damon for my frail physical appearance.

Now, my body transformed totally with all my curves fully shaped. I have Raven to thank for training me and keeping me healthy.

“Ooh…its 11.55am.” I regained my composure immediately. I didn’t want to be late at our first meeting. I quickly wore my shoes fully ready to go. I headed out of the palace without stopping for anyone.

Even when people tried to compliment me, I simply forced a smile and kept walking fast. All I could think of was getting to the location in time.

“Sorry I’m late…” I apologized as soon as I reached the forest. I looked up to meet Darius' gaze to see his reaction to my new dress.

“Damon?” I suddenly blurted out.
