Darius

I feel her soft cheeks behind me. Her slender arms wrapped around me like candy. At that point, feeling her plump lips press on my back watered down all the rage and anger I and inside me. It took everything not to respond to her as she called out to me earlier in the corridor.

My heart stopped as I heard her trying to control her breathing as she called out to me. My first thought was just to rush and carry her feet off the ground. But, I was so angry at the time that I kept moving forward. Yet, my wolf kept grunting for me to turn back and help me.

However, my ego was bruised, so I continued my walk to my chambers.

“I hope she follows me.” I mumbled to myself. Finally, I got to my room to change and take a shower. I curved my lips as I could hear her footsteps approaching my room.

I removed my top just in time for her to see my body filled with sweat, as I had caught her a few times gashing anytime I take my shirt off. I wanted her to yearn for me as I do for her.

Darius The clouds were dark and gloomy, reflecting the tension spread all over the palace. It later started raining. However, the cold raindrops could not extinguish the raging fire in my heart. I stood in the courtyard motionless, like time just froze and nothing else mattered. There were murmurs all around me, there was panic and chaos. I could hear the alarm going off at the palace gates, but nothing seemed to move me. I stood there for several minutes before I felt a hand trying to drag me.“Darius! Darius!” the voice called out. It took me a few seconds to resonate. It was the voice of Tessa, trying to pull me out of the rain. But her efforts were futile, as her petite statue tried in vain to get my attention.“Xander, pls come and help me.” I heard her faintly calling out for my beta to assist her. I could see how he nervously approached and gently pulled me aside to assist. At first, I was unwilling to move. Eventually, I succumbed to her countless pleas before allowing them

Damon“What do you mean Aurora will cease to exist?” I snapped sharply. My heartbeat started pacing rapidly. My wolf grunted in anger as I stared at both Ember and Natasha with dark eyes. The smirk on Ember’s face as she curved her lips, revealing a sinister smile. Natasha, stylishly trying to avert my gaze, with her eyes lit up with joy, said it all. I wiped the sweat beaded on my face, I took a deep sigh as I re-iterated my question again.“What have you done again, Ember? Haven’t you done enough?” I asked with a cold expression on my face. She was taken aback by my inquiry, but regained her composure instantly. “What do you mean, what have I done again? I did absolutely nothing, yet if I’m to take a guess. I have a feeling Aurora might be having a rough night,” Ember replied as she giggled with Natasha.I clenched my hands, watching them celebrate whatever devious plan they mustered against Aurora all over again.Suddenly, I remembered seeing Ember and Serena on our trip back. Quie

Aurora“Serena?”I froze for a few seconds, the shock ran through my spine as I tried to remember any occurrence or encounter that may have provoked her to orchestrate something so cruel as taking me from the palace without my permission of knowledge of Darius.Yet, no such encounter came to mind. I searched through my thoughts making sure I didn’t skip any moment of meeting and treating her with dismay. I understood she and Darius had a history, but he explained to me that he made it crystal clear that he was never involved or had any romantic feelings for her.I met her gaze, but nothing but hatred in her eyes. She snarled at me with dismay, that sent shivers through my body. Her eyes seemed to lit up in excitement seeing me in distress with my hands all tied up. I took a weary sigh and glanced at her again.“Serena, I know we are not friends…” she scuffed sarcastically at my utterance of the word ‘friend.’“How can I be friends with a low-life like you? You’re nothing but palace tr

DariusWatching her retreating figure as she walked across the room, I could not help but grin as she hurriedly wore a loose top and black pants. She was completely mindless in her appearance, as she dashed to the door to meet up with Raven’s insistence.“She’s getting ready!” I snapped out. Raven gently tapping the door continuously was beginning to irk me. Immediately, the tapping sound stopped.“Yes, my alpha. Apologies.” Raven whispered back. It was loud enough for me to hear the awkwardness in her voice. Aurora swiveled to glance at me with dark eyes. “Don’t do that…” She stared intensely at me. I was stunned at her gaze, but I tried to regain my composure. She curved her lips slightly, to open the door to look at Raven. “Don’t mind him, he's just sulky. I’ve got to leave him alone in the room,” Aurora told Raven calmly. This obviously made Raven uncomfortable as she cleared her throat.“Cough, pardon my intrusion, alpha.” she said as she slightly bowed to me in respect. I took

SerenaMy wolf grunted in dismay as I turned to see the crowd look at Aurora on stage with admiration. To my surprise, they all bent a knee as she took the stairs down like a powerful empress.“Is this who all these alphas and lunas pledge allegiance to?” I thought to myself. I stared at her with dark eyes as she accepted them with false humility.“That impostor will get what’s comin to her.” I mumbled to myself. My wolf growled in agreement. Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulders.“What did you want to share with me?” Emily asked. I swiveled back facing her, and I was stunned by the overwhelming beauty. She stood almost six foot tall, with broad shoulders and a swarm-like neck. She had a round face with a thin nose, her blonde hair thick and flowing down her back. She wore a light-blue gown which complimented her pupils. She had the aura of a true luna. I snapped back to reality and gazed at her.“Thank you, Luna, I was just upset at how people can’t acknowledge a true Luna like your

Aurora“Ouch!” a sharp pain woke me up. Everywhere was totally black like a vacuum, I grimaced as I tried to touch my head to soothe the ache. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to, as I deduced my hands were tied behind me tightly with a rope. But, that wasn’t what got my attention. There was a scent that was fading, but it was a stench that made my wolf growl.“Wolfbane”, the idea occurred to me. This was a word that was only whispered in my days in the kitchen as a maid in the Moonfall pack. It was gotten from a particular area deep in the forest that was forbidden to go to as it was deemed very potent and affected wolves severely. It was considered a treacherous crime to use the solution gotten from this herb, as it's known to cause harm and even in some serious cases, death. It was applied to the worst of criminals to weaken their wolf state. Even on those rare occasions, it was only used to subdue a very strong wolf.My wolf wimped as the effects of the wolfbane began to kick in. I fe
