By the time I got out of the room, he entered a meeting with his inner circle. He had been away for some days, so he needed to catch up with all the recent activities in the pack, and how to prepare for any action, Alpha Darius decided.

This meeting lasted for several hours, yet I couldn’t rest until I found the reason as to why Damon kept avoiding me. Usually, when he gets back from a long trip, he can’t wait to get his hands all over me. Yet, this trip seemed different. He came back in a foul mood and wasn’t interested in having any physical contact with me.
