You can't run from me anymore

Author’s POV

Alpha Derek was breathing heavily when he left the room. As much as he wanted her to suffer, he needed her strong and healthy to reclaim his power, but not until the full moon.

The rogue Alpha of the North, that is what they called him. The terror of the Woods, older than all. With his band of rogues, he terrorized packs, stealing, looting, molesting. But he wasn’t always a rogue!

Alpha Derek was born to the Alpha Bloodline of the Crescent Moon Park, he had just taken over from his father at the age of thirty when he ran into his mate.

Selene, a young beautiful girl who had just come of age. It was at her eighteenth birthday party that he sensed her and his wolf recognized her as their mate.

Alpha Derek was excited, now his life will be complete, or so he thought!

Selene had only been with him to trick him. She made him promise to not have sex with her until they were officially mated on the next full moon.

But before that time came, she stole his most prized possession and eloped with her lover. Alpha Derek felt betrayed, his wolf could not survive for long without a mate, so he lost his ability to shift. And then his people turned on him, they saw him as weak.

While his human form still possessed the supernatural strength of a werewolf, he was doomed to live the rest of his life without his alter ego, and to top it all, he couldn’t die!

It was a lifetime of misery. More than one lifetime and in those years, he searched for the one who could put an end to his misery! His fated mate.

There had been rumors of her death, but Alpha Derek knew that she was out there somewhere, and one day he would find her again!

To protect himself from those who sought to harm him, Alpha Derek formed his pack of wolves, gathering the deadliest outcasts and bringing them together for a greater purpose.

Alpha Derek walked into his room and met a naked lady chained to his bed. She was whimpering like a scared dog when he approached her.

He sighed and climbed the bed, unhooking his pants. “I want you to know that what I do to you tonight is not personal, she is the reason why you have to go through this.” He spoke through gritted teeth

Soon, the sound of her voice filled the air, the Rogue Alpha of the North would have his pound of flesh!

Lily’s POV

The door opened and the first rays of the morning sun went straight to my eyes. I covered my face with my palm, protecting my eyes.

“Wear this and follow me!” I heard the voice of the man that tormented me all night.

My heart started racing as the piece of cloth fell on my body. “Where are we going? What are you going to do with me?” I was too tired to cry.

My butt still hurt from the whooping and sitting on the cold floor all night. Somehow I had prayed that this was all a nightmare.

“Don’t ask me questions, Selene.” He warned in a strict voice.

At this point, I knew better than to argue that he was mistaken. 

“What are you waiting for? Take off your rags!” He ordered.

I nodded immediately, swallowing saliva. I pulled down the straps of my gown, letting it drop to the floor.

I felt his eyes fall on my body, my breasts. I felt heat travel through me, his eyes burning through my body like intense flames.

I quickly wore the gown he gave me, it surprisingly fit, but it looked like a very outdated design.

“You claim not to remember, you wore that on your first day in my house and there is a lot more of your property I have safely stored for almost 300 years. Maybe that should jog your memory.”

I sighed inwards. This man was clearly insane, how does one live for three hundred years?

I followed him as he instructed and he led me to a bedroom. “This is where you will stay until the next full moon, then I will complete the mating ritual and recover my life. After that, I will decide what to do with you Selene!” He announced.

I wanted to scream that I wasn’t Selene, but the scars and bruises on my body was enough evidence why I should not do that.

“Don’t even try to run from here, your days of running have come to an end!”
