Chapter 35

Riley has locked herself in her room. She wasn't feeling hungry at all. She tried to read the book but her mind won't drift away from what Sadie has said. Her words constantly rang in her head like a mantra.

Tears were her always companion that at the times when she didn't want them to come, they still show up, consoling her by letting the pain out as she cries.

Riley wiped her tears away as she sniffed. "Why would he do this to me?" She talked to herself in the darkness of the room.

"Everyone has ever hurt me." She hiccuped.

Her mother. Her father. And everyone else. Damon was the first one to be nice to her but now she felt used. Like he took advantage of her naivety.

It wasn't like she was a pro in these things. She has never ever gotten close to a man before. Damon was her first kiss. The first feeling. The first touch. The first wild thump of her heart in a strange way but it was all fake.
