Riley   My life is anything but a bed of soft, beautiful, red roses. I was born and raised in a poor family. This couldn't be that bad right but no this is far worse.   Other kids used to say they love their mother a lot but I couldn't because unfortunately, my mother loved money over me. She used to stay away from home for days when I was just 7 and then eventually when I turned 10, she left me and my father for a rich man.   She had no remorse or guilt for leaving me. I was just a child begging for my mother's love which is never written in my fate.   Then comes my father who is a disgrace to be called a dad. Right after when my mother left him. He became abusive towards me. He sure was an alcoholic before but he didn't hit me before.

"D...dad?" My voice is a shaky mess.    I barely called him and this time it got his attention as he turned to me. His eyes paused at the small amount of blood tracing my hands and my shirt.   The widening of his eyes had my insides curling in fear as I immediately stood up on my shaky legs. "D...dad... I... someone put the b...bloody knife in my bag. I.. I... swear I... don't know where it c...come from." My whole body was trembling in raw fear as dad sauntered towards me. I was expecting him to confront me and ask me questions but he struck me.   Pain shot through my cheek as I tried to stay calm. "I...I didn't do anything." Another strike and this one is harsher than the last one.   "I.." I tried to speak.

I tried to sleep. I tried. But I just couldn't fall asleep with all the thoughts running through my mind. Was it Levi who put that knife in my bag? Was it him who killed that guy and tried to blame me because I saw him beating that guy just a day before? It was all his plan to frame me but I never expected my father to do such a thing.   He knew I couldn't kill anyone yet for the small amount of money he was all too ready to sacrifice me. It was soo stupid of me to leave that dagger with my fingerprints behind, I should've brought it with me, in that way they won't have any proof against me.   When I went unconscious I was hundred percent sure that the wolf would eat me. Riley As I stared at the news all I felt was pure horror. The anchor was continuously saying Riley Miller killed her classmate. My father, David Miller appeared on the screen. He looked sad and broken, as he admitted in front of the camera how he saw a bloodied dagger in my bag. He was ready to hand me over to the police but I escaped.    He was acting like a good man.   The fork fell from my hand on the plate as it made a clattering sound.   Damon's head snapped in my direction and my heart dropped into the pit of my stomach. His face was emotionless and his eyes appeared darker. He knows that Riley was me, it was written all over his face.  

The next day I decided to leave the room and check around the place, I hope Damon won’t mind it. He was the one who said that I should roam around, the change of scenery could be helpful for me.   I woke up way too early today. Damon was gone when I woke up and I felt sorry for making him sleep on that tiny couch.
