I woke up on the floor of the living room area. My body was curled up against Noah, who was sound asleep. Panicking, I got up, but it was too quick and my muscles cramped. Groaning, I leaned against the wall for support. Hand holding my hip, I breathed through the pain, aware that there was an actual curve to my stomach now.
“You okay?”
“Yeah, I just…the muscle…”
Taking a deep breath, I righted myself and hobbled over to the kitchen. Taking out one of the water bottles we had ordered yesterday, I downed the whole thing.
Noah chuckled. “It’s a bit early, if you want to get a couple more hours of sleep.”
“I’m up. It’s fine. I’d like to mark which rooms I want to be what. Get a layout in my head before the designer comes in.”
Noah stood up and stretched.
“You don’t need to get up, too. You probably didn’t get that good of sleep.”
Sighing, I put my sunglasses on and got back in the car. Pulling back out on the road, the music was low as I drove back to the house. Home. Every time I looked in the rear-view mirror, I saw the two car seats, and it made me smile. This was it. I’d have my little family here in Santorini. We would have forests, the beach, and the city to explore. I’d be able to help Alpha Jacob with his work while keeping busy with the kids. Hopefully, work on getting full mobility back in my legs and arms. It was more than I could hope for, even a month ago.Pulling into the garage, I got in the elevator and went up, only to be greeted by a knock on my door. Narrowing my eyes, I opened it up for Alpha Jacob and two other she-wolves.“Oh my god, Uncle, you never said he was so cute!”One girl walked up to me, running her hand through my hair. In my shock, I didn’t even move. I just blinked at her like an idiot.“Imagine
My body moved on its own, moving out of the way for the Alpha. While I had never spoken to Alpha Jacob, I’d seen him multiple times at the Alpha Conference when I went with Silas. If there were celebrities in our race, Alpha Jacob probably was one of the most famous of them. His feats in moving the werewolf race out of the dark ages were stories you told your children. He worked side by side with the previous Alpha King to help usher in the peace we had now. Aelia ended up talking to me about him as well, saying there were a few times when she was younger that she had worked with him. I didn’t realize he was head of the pack here in Greece. That never came up in the documentation.I stayed quiet as he walked into the room. He looked around for a moment before turning back to me. His smirk was fighting against him, looking serious.“I see my reputation precedes me, but I don’t know your name.”Swallowing, I tried to g

Pulling up to the property, I couldn’t help but feel awestruck. The house was built into the side of a mountain that faced the sea. It was all white like most of the houses here and you could see at least three floors, two of which had an outdoor space. I parked in front of the garage and Noah unplugged his phone. After a minute, the garage door came up and it was easily big enough for two cars with space between them.Getting out, I grabbed my cane and leaned on it heavily. The time in the plane hadn’t done me any good. I grabbed my own duffle and stood in front of two doors. One looked like a stairwell leading up a floor, but the other was unmistakably an elevator door. When Finn said something about an elevator making it easier for me, I thought he was joking.“Everything has key codes to get in or a scan on your phone. I’ll set you up later.” Noah put his phone in front of a pad and the doors to the elevator opened.Doing my bes
I stared at the wall with all the airplane arrivals and departures. While this wasn’t my first flight, it was the first time going internationally. My stomach twisted in knots, and Noah waved his hand in front of me.“You good? We still have time if you don’t…”Shaking my head, I took a deep breath. “It’s just a lot of new. I’ll get over it. Let’s go or we will be late.”The plane was supposed to fly out of Gate 2. Noah walked beside me and I tried to ignore the sinking feeling in my stomach. We hit the gate and Noah motioned to a stairwell that was just on the other side of it. Walking up, my eyes widened as I saw it was the first-class lounge.“Noah…what…?”“Did you think we weren’t flying first class? It’s like a ten-hour flight! First class is the only way to go.”Chuckling, I shook my head. Stepping into the lounge, they offered champagne and wine. Both I declined, but Noah took the champagne. We sat in the corner overlooking the runway. Noah was the first one to speak up after fi
I woke up and stared at the ceiling. My dream had been less than pleasant, but it helped me solidify my answer on where I wanted to go. Getting up, I folded the blanket on the couch and headed up the stairs. Noah and Finn were still asleep, wrapped up in each other. Leah was awake, standing against the rails of her crib. Reaching down, I picked her up and held her at my side as I made breakfast.Noah was the one who stirred first. He nearly fell out of bed trying to get up, thinking it was his turn to get Leah up. Rubbing his eyes as he looked at me, Noah’s smile spread wide.“You sure you don’t want to stay here? I never thought a third hand would be so useful until now.”I chuckled. “You say that, but then we would have two more babies and we wouldn’t outnumber them anymore.”He shook his head. “Still…”“I decided.”His eyes widened. “What did you decide?”
