I was already buried underneath the covers when Six finally walked in. His foot falls were quieted by the carpeted floor making it almost impossible to hear. Faintly I heard him sigh before he opened up a draw and pulled something out. I could hear the slight movements that the fabric made as he dressed himself and automatically knew that he was putting on a pair of pants.

A slight heat rose to my cheeks at the thought of him walking into the room naked. Of course being a wolf myself nudity didn’t normally merit this kind of reaction from me especially since I had seen him once before. But it was dark out and you were too busy swooning over his green eyes.

I tried my best to pretend that I was still sleeping but when I felt the bed dip because of his weight I almost blew my cover by flinching. Six eased the covers on the bed up before sliding in completely. His warm damp skin rubbed against mine as positioned himself more comfortably near me. He continued to fidget on the bed until so

After restlessly tossing and turning in the bed for most of the night I finally got fed up and judging by the constant streaming of curses coming from the living room I could tell that Six was just as mad. Without putting too much thought into it I grabbed the remaining pillow off of the bed and made my way over to the door. I didn’t even try to be stealthy or anonymous as I swung the door open and marched over to the couch where my mate was lying. His head shot up at the sound of me coming near him and instantly he started growling. Before he could growl out any unwanted words at me I pulled back my arm that was holding the pillow and threw it right at his face. Since my attack was completely unexpected Six didn’t even think to bring his arm up to block it and it hit its mark head on.“If you would have told me the reason why I wasn’t allowed to kiss you then I wouldn’t have done it and we wouldn’t have had to go through this big fuss.” Because I was sleep deprived my words came out

“Shut up. I don’t need your pity Ayah, I really don’t.” He took another swipe at me with his pillow but misjudged the distance and missed me. “When Luis realized that he wasn’t being satisfied with my beatings he let me go. At first I thought he had let me go because he remembered that I had been his friend. It wasn’t until I started dating again that I realized just how wrong I was.”I cocked an eyebrow at him. “You started dating?”He growled. “Of course I started dating. I’m a rogue, I was alone, and I had no place to go. I met this one human at the bar and we ended up dating for three months until Luis found us out and killed her. That’s when I knew that he would never leave me alone. After a while I thought that it would be best to just run away but then I ended up finding you. In the middle of nowhere mind you with some black wolf stalking you in the nearby brushes.”Gradually while he was talking his raised voice had lowered until it was almost down to its normal tone. “I don

As if the cover that was hiding me started to uncover and everything went out within a second which attacked unsuspecting Six. His eyes started to change from blue to red. “Kayah!? What the hell is going on?”Seven started to sniff the air as my belly started to inflate and started to become painful as if I’m going to give birth now. “S-Seven help me please!” I begged. Seven seemed to be not in himself but when I screamed, he snapped out and carried me towards the door. I didn’t know how I ended up in the hospital with Seven only wearing boxers. When I woke up, Six was watching me, holding my hands. “Six?” I asked as his eyes started to change from blue to red and red to blue. “Save the explanation after we get out og here, Kayah,” he replied. I sensed a little bit of coldness in his voice but worried voice was apparent. The doctor would freak out if she saw my wounds already healed which was not normal for humans. After checking out with my baby, Six took me home but not the h

"What? You found your mate?" Seven said as I told him everything I went through in the hands of Lunar. "I did. My companion brought me to him. He told me he found me first," I said without hiding anymore secrets from him. "His father was against us because I was someone else and that I was pregnant. During my stay, Lunar made a contact with me, telling me what happen to the war between her and Fenrir and that she wanted a revenge. I was in her strong hold until my conpanions and I set a journey to seek this shaman. It was then he opened my eyes and let me see what was actually Lunar's plan.""Plan?""Yes. The beast within you, she told me it'll come out soon and that went it become free, you will become savage, a curse she casted right from your ancestors.""The bitch really hates our guts. When I woke up the next morning, fully rested and content, I turned my head to the side and realized that I was alone…again without my baby and Seven. I could feel that small sadness and a bit of happiness chip off from inside of my chest and let out a long sigh. Was it really too much to ask for to just wake up one morning and have the first thing I see be Seven? I glared at the empty pillow beside me for not granting this little fantasy of mine before rolling my eyes.He never really stuck around before we were mated so why had I assumed that he would change his habits afterwards? I shook my head from side to side as if to answer my own question before sliding the cover off of me. I turned my head towards the bedroom door and felt a little bit of hope rise. Even though Seven hadn’t been the first thing I saw when I woke up he sure as hell would be the first person I’d see.He was just like that even when he was on the throne. Early riser as they may say it. He might disappear if I

We didn’t stop shopping until Maryan’s credit card got maxed out. I felt like falling down to my knees and howling at the moon in gratitude for saving me from shopping any longer with this possessed woman. We had been to over twenty different stores, three malls, and I had tried over a countless amount of clothing. Everything from see-through panties to formal jackets had touched my skin and now I was absolutely exhausted. My initial feeling towards that was dread but then I remembered that she didn’t have any more money left and I felt relieved. After a moment I realized that Maryan was being unusually quiet so I slowly raised my head up and looked over at her. Her eyes seemed glazed over as she stared at the display window. Her mouth hung slightly open in awe making me feel even more curious. My eyes fell onto a pair of small human clothes. The light blue coloring of the shirt matched that of the morning sky and the pair of tiny shorts that went with it was tan. My brow crinkled as

Maryan’s eyes practically rolled back in her head at me. “What has Six been doing with you since you got here? The man hasn’t taken you clothes shopping, hasn’t educated you on human norms, or anything?” She tossed her arms up in the air. “I swear if that man wasn’t Red’s best friend I would bite him, and not in a sexual way either.”Feeling like I should come to my mates defense I quickly spoke out, “That’s not true. Six has been wonderful towards me. He saved my life on multiple occasions, he gave me a name, and he even lets me sleep next to him.”I knew instantly that I shouldn’t have said the last one because of the look Jackie was now giving me.“He lets you sleep next to him….are you wearing clothes?”“Yes.”She cocked her eyebrow. “Does he?”My face was burning at that one. “Of course he does.”She kept her gaze on me for another moment before shrugging her shoulders. “I was just wondering because normally he sleeps nude.”I could feel my jaw drop. “What?” I practically s

Looking into Luis' eyes was like witnessing my own death over and over again. Tightness grew in my chest as I stared into those cold wrathful orbs. My heart was wildly beating against my chest and my tightly clenched hands were shaking. I knew that I had to do something. I had to get away. I had to move, but my body wasn’t listening. My body was too scared to even flinch away from his touch. I was too scared.Luis' smile deepened into something more wicked and cruel as he leaned even closer to me. His chilling breath brushed against my other cheek“You look absolutely petrified dear.”I wanted to back away, I wanted to run, I wanted to scream at him for touching me, but nothing happened. The only thing that I could manage to do was watch him as he scooted off of the armrest and closer to me, his eyes were filled with pleasure at the fact that I was doing nothing to defend myself. As if to test just how far he could go, Luis let his hand skim from my cheek, down to my neck and then bac

The hospital room was too quiet. The only sound was the soft beeping of the machine beside me and the slow ticking of the clock on the wall. I couldn’t move much. My chest was still aching badly. Every breath felt like it might tear me open again.I lay still, watching the ceiling, trying not to think. Then I heard the door open.My hands tightened under the blanket as I smelled who it was. Axel. He walked in, pushing a cart of food. His footsteps were calm, too calm for my liking. I didn’t dare look at him right away. I stared at the wall instead. My heart was beating faster. I didn’t know if he was angry. I didn’t know if he was going to yell. Or worse.“You’re awake,” he said, his voice quiet but firm.I nodded a little. My throat felt dry.He moved the cart closer and uncovered the plates. Warm steam rose into the air. It smelled like soup and bread. I haven't eaten since... I couldn’t remember. But the sight of food didn’t comfort me.“You need to eat,” he said. “Your wound won’

The next few scenes were me being punched, kicked and slapped to almost make me pass out. My throat was already hurting due to the constant scream of vegging and leaving me alone. My chest started to bleed again and it stained the oversized white shirt Axel had given me. My screams were now replaced with loud sobs that made my lungs ache. I looked up in fear as the unknown man advanced towards me. He took a deep breath through his nose, and a wide smile spread across his face. Slowly, he walked towards me with deliberate and smooth steps. With each step he took, the malicious grin on his face got wider. I had scooted myself into a corner to try and escape his gaze and ferocity, and as he came to stand in front of me I tried pleading once more. "Please. I am begging you. Just leave me alone. You don't have to do this!" My words came out as sobs. "Shut up! You’re just a slave! You do not talk to me like that!" With another deep breath through his nose, he crouched down next to me a

I woke up to sunlight shining in my face, and the sound of a girl screaming. The sound was excruciatingly loud and sent chills up my spine. Above the screaming, I could hear Axel’s voice shouting. I couldn't make out the words, but he sounded furious and excited. The screaming continued for about another minute, until it slowly died down. The entire time this was happening, I sat cowering in the corner of my room, fearing I would be next to be screaming like that. But I made my decisions…to play safe..After what seemed like an eternity, I heard a door slam and footsteps coming my way. I cringed back in fear and huddled against the wall. The freshly stitched wounds on my chest reminded me of Axel’s brutality, and I didn't want to see what he was like when he was mad. My door was pushed open to reveal-of course- an infuriated Axel. He looked at my small frame huddled in the corner farthest from him, and smiled. I felt no comfort from his expression, only more fear. He stepped forward

I kept my head down and watched his feet as he approached me. Before I knew it, he was right next to me, lifting my chin upwards to look at his face. I tried to keep my eyes averted from his gaze and stop the tears that threatened to come again. "Look at me." His hot breath growled into my face.I slowly brought my eyes up to meet his. They were a deep, voidless black. This was the first good look I had gotten at his eyes and I hoped it would be my last. His black hair hung to the side with a few pieces escaping to fall on his forehead. A square jaw held light pink lips that always seemed to be smirking at me. His face was completely devoid of emotion, even though he was smirking. His eyes held nothing but emptiness and he looked at me as weak. It was terrifying being this close to him, and I could tell he knew I was uncomfortable. His hand grew tighter on my chin as I struggled desperately to free my head from his grip. I was beyond scared and wanted to be as far away from him as I

The envelope was brown. It doesn’t have a receiver or sender name.I should have felt it then, the warning, the poison in the air.Curious, I opened it anyway. The photograph slid out with a whisper.Seven’s face hit me first and beside him was a familiar face, too familiar, his arm wrapped around her. Hailey. The Moon Goddess. Her lips curved in a smirk so triumphant it made me sick. And between them was a baby. My baby.I staggered back a step, as if the floor itself had betrayed me. The little boy nestled in Hailey’s arms was unmistakable, the soft curl of his hair, the tiny birthmark on his cheek, a mark I knew because I had kissed it a thousand times. His smile, the one he used to give me, now aimed at her. At them. The baby I thought was kidnapped. My knees buckled. The pain wasn’t sharp. It was deep, an endless splitting inside my chest, like I was being hollowed out from the inside. Seven didn’t even look guilty. He looked proud. As if he belonged there, next to her, instead o

  • The Rogue's Little Mate   Chapter 154: Proposal

I awoke in my stall on the bed. Light was streaming through the small window high above me. The ferals outside were noisy and I could hear that they were tearing something apart. The sound was like squelching, like flesh tearing from bones or I don’t even want to know it. But because I was freaking curious, I stood up, despite the protest of my chest and looked at the small hole in my room. And there it was. A body was torn apart, the ferals were fighting, playing tag, trying to have a large portion.“So, who was it again?” I heard someone speak up. “The other man that the king found three weeks ago,” a man said. “Oh, the one who kept on resisting?”“Yes. Unfortunately, the king’s patience ran out and he fed him to his dog.”“Well, all of those who resist him always end up being fed to these beasts,” the other man replied, which scared me. Axel must have moved me from the floor to my bed and I was glad I was asleep for that. The pain of walking or being carried would have been uni

My mouth instantly began to water. He saw me staring at his hands and laughed aloud this time. "Oh, is my little mate? Hungry?" All I could do was nod intently. It had been days since I had anything to eat or drink, and the result of that was starting to weigh upon me."Well, why don't you come over to me and get it then?" Axel looked at me with danger in his eyes. He knew I refused, he’ll just going to do what he wanted and if I talk back, Fenrir will have mercy on me. Once I realized he was serious and the only way for me to get the piping hot bowl of newly cooked meat was to walk over to him, I almost screamed in frustration. He put me through it all, he tortured me and now I'm just supposed to walk it off?! Unbelievable. Despite what I thought though, he wasn't going to give me any food until I came over to him. I began to muster up all my strength and courage even if the thing on my chest hurts like hell. It didn’t dry up or at least close. In fact it went deeper in my flesh,

Jefferson led me back to my room. “I’m sorry,” I said, almost in a whisper.Jefferson halted and turned around to me. “Yeah, whatever. It’s too late,” he replied and assumed walking. “Just to let you know, Axel doesn't have plans on letting you live for too long. I shouldn’t tell you this but well, maybe I thought you deserve to know.”When we reached my room, he opened the door and I entered inside before.him slamming the door and locking it. Inside, I saw that the haystack was gone and replaced by a bed. I laid there for at least an hour. My eyes grew heavy and exhaustion threatened to overtake me, but I refused to fall asleep. I needed to get out of this torture house and back to my pack. How that would happen- I had no idea. I hoped beyond hope that Axel wouldn't be the one to come back and get me. If I saw him again I might pass out, just out of pure terror. He scared me beyond what I could handle right now, and I couldn't handle very much. With every second that went by I

Before I could process his change of mood, he had my wrists bound in silver handcuffs above my head. I hissed but I still tried to bring them down but a clink of metal and the sensation of being burned without fire prevented me from doing that. Axel had my arms chained above my head to where I was already tiptoeing. I could barely reach the floor. A smirk was now on his face as he stared at me, helpless. I let a whimper escape my lips as all courage drained from my body. Axel only smiled more at that, taking delight in my pain and fear. He now paraded around the room, making his way towards the hot coals in the fire pit. He then tossed more charcoal. “It seemed that you still didn’t know what you were here?” He looked at me expectedly to answer the question. Of course I knew. I knew because he already told me but I pretended I didn’t. “I didn’t.” I tried to lie and spit back at him, but my words only came out as a whimper. Axel laughed at that but didn’t reach his eyes.
