Seven’s Point of view

I was in a ring, watching two warriors locked in hand-to-hand combat.

In a fight, there is meant to be a winner and a loser but none of the men wanted to be the loser as the consequences would be frightening.

All of a sudden, I felt uncomfortable and a searing pain overwhelmed me. In my head was a chant from my wolf.

“I can’t feel mate! Mate is gone! Find our mate!’

The words were incomprehensible at first but once I was able to make out the words, I felt my aura became colder, forcing everyone present to submit.

I was trying to think rationally and knew that flying into blind rage would not help.

I can’t lose her.

“YOUR QUEEN IS NO LONGER IN OUR GROUNDS. FIND HER!” I ordered and speedily rushed away, I didn’t give any explanation to my warriors as there was no time to waste.

Lucas' eyes widened in panic, he was probably worried about what would happen next.

“Who dares to take the Queen before I could spar with her!?”

Lucas arranged the warriors into differe

Kayah’s Point of View“No one is coming to save you, I already injected you with something that would dull your mate bond. Without his mark, King Seven would not be able to sense your absence for a very long time.” My abductor still had a quirky smirk on his face, he was very sure of his well-laid-out plans. “I will give you a minute to think of a good response to my question before I shed all pretense.”He did not wait for my response and left the room. My eyes darted around, looking for something, a sort of weapon for protection. I knew that Seven would come for me once he discovered my disappearance but I had to stay alive before he showed up. I discovered that it wasn’t easy to be the healer, the shoe was too big for me and the tiara was many times as heavy.I didn’t care to think of how my abductor got to know that I wasn’t the deal as my eyes fell on a used syringe. A scenario appeared in my mind, leaving faster than it came but left a deep impression on me. For the first t

Kayah’s point of ViewThe look on Seven’s face was solemn, he took a few more glances at the figure in the center of his bed and that was me. The silence was stiffening and I couldn’t tell what was on his mind. Unlike others, whom I could easily read, Seven was different. I replayed the encounter with my abductor in my head, wondering if Seven had overheard their conversation. Just the thought of it made me swallow hard, followed by a hiss of pain“Are you okay?” Seven inquired before rising up from where he was sitting. He slowly approached the bed with a glass of water.“Yes.” I muttered as she tried to sit up. Her neck was bruised from when her attacker had clutched her.I noticed Seven sniffing the air. I saw a little bit of confusion but he found himself leaning closer to my neck where my scent gland was.I froze, I didn't even flinch. Even though I found it uncomfortable to be around people I wasn’t familiar with. Seven was my mate and him being around me was comforting. He

Kayah's Point of ViewEven though I tried, I could not prevent the blush that crept on my face. When he spoke, the look in his eyes was so deep and intense, it threatened to overwhelm me but it wasn’t scary as I could also feel warmth from them. In an attempt to divert his attention. “Tell me about your Kingdom?”“It’s ours,” Sevenl took my hands and began tracing it with his fingers. Everywhere he touched was tingling. “We have a large territory, equal to the royal pack. There are about five thousand people in the kingdom about seventy percent are able to protect themselves in case of danger. The other thirty percent are made up of mostly women and children, they train but not as much as the others but they would be led to the underground bunker in case of any unforeseen events.”“Don’t you have to deal with spies?”“There are certain ways to deal with them. About what happened today, I promise to get to the root of the matter and give you an explanation.”“It is alright, it wasn’t

Jade’s Point of ViewI was gently sipping wine while glancing through a photo album, a smile etched on my face as my mind wandered from one thought to another. The photo album consists of the images of just one person, someone who I had fallen for and was prepared to give my heart to no matter the cost. That person was her King.Mia suddenly entered my room and shook her head at the sight of my daydreaming expression. “Jade! Snap out of it!” She snapped her fingers a few times before my face, bringing me back to reality.“Mia, what was that for?” I asked as a frown. I didn’t appreciate her friend’s intrusion.“I won’t interrupt you if it wasn’t important.” Mia immediately sat down beside me with a worried expression on her face.“What is wrong?” I carefully set the album aside.“I heard some rumors,” Mia looked around a few times, after confirming that we were all alone in the house, she continued. “The King is planning a Queen introduction ceremony, it will happen soon.”Unexpecte

Kayah’s Point of ViewThe buzzing sound, the chirping of birds and the soft whoosh as wind blows on the trees were all in my head. I suddenly opened my eyes abruptly and sat up on the bed. I glanced at the windows and at the door which was unlocked. I noticed that the space beside me was empty. I let out a sigh. Ever since Seven brought me back, he had not shared a room with me. He would only wait till I fell asleep before he left.I slowly walked out of my room, moved as quietly as I could, an art I had perfected over years of staying in my previous pack. I was finally able to get out of the house without alerting anyone. The sun was not out yet, it was a few hours past midnight and the moon was bright in the sky. Its warm glow fell on my figure, giving me comfort like a mother hugging her child.I started walking through a path. I needed to think about the events of the past few hours. One thing was sure, I was weak. This would be my biggest flaw in my attempt to win Seven’s he

Seven’s Point of ViewIf Sabrina was looking for my opinion , she wasn’t getting it. Judging her negatively would hurt her. I knew that. She let out a deep breath.“I could easily deal with him. He wasn’t a threat,” A teasing spark lit in her eye’s as if she’s thinking something. “With my wolf.”I noticed the glint in her eyes. I followed her and was watching from the shadows. I was looking forward to the showdown between her and the vampire. I heard a lot about how good Sabrina was when it comes to fighting. That’s why I had asked her hand to be my mate but I was worried that she would get hurt instead. Vampires are one hell of a fighter too. I never had the chance to meet her nor spar with her because it was forbidden. “Your wolf?” I couldn’t get the picture of her weak and delicate form out of my head.“She is back but still isn’t talking to me yet, I’m afraid she’s still upset over what happened the last time,” she said. “The last time?”“Yes,” she said. “My wolf is kind of s

Seven’s point of ViewAnother thing I had heard about Sabrina was her conservativeness which was another thing for me. “Heh, she’ll eventually give in if we were her mate,” my wolf scoffed. “Don’t be an ass. It’s a good thing we found a mate.”As I recalled the taste of her soft lips I grinned. My prideful wolf was taken aback by the slap hence the reason he acted an ass. She stared at me for a brief moment as she was led back by me to the private packhouse. I couldn’t sense that she was trying to read my mood, which was futile. “Maybe it wouldn’t hurt as much,” She muttered underneath her breath. With my enhanced hearing, I caught her words which fazed me. Hurt what?Soon, we saw the door she had gone through. I slapped the door shut, not caring whether it ripped off its hinges, the sound was loud enough to awaken the occupants of the guard house and soon two men were rushing out of their rooms.“Your highness.” Both men submitted to me.“Where were you when your Queen was le

Seven’s Point of View“She’s mine,” Alpha Axel screamed at me, his veins were popping, he wanted blood. “Formerly, yes,” I said as my eyes bore on his features. Alpha Axel was known as Demon Alpha. He’s the only one trusted by the Pack Royals and never dared to oppose. But not me. He owes me a lot. I spared his life. “Bastard,” he said, grinning his teeth. “Moon Goddess gave her to me! She was supposed to be mine!”I lazily sat on my throne and crossed my legs. “Let me remind you about our little secret, Axel. You said you’ll give me something in exchange for your life. Did you forget it already?”Axel swallowed. I watched his Adam apple going up and down due to mixed emotions. “I can give anything but not her. My pack will weaken without their Luna,” he said. “Because she was the last healer, that’s the reason, right?” I said. Axel’s eyes locked on mine. I could tell the hatred from layers of his emotions. “It's not that-”“Sabrina will be useful in your pack, Axel. I know you

The hospital room was too quiet. The only sound was the soft beeping of the machine beside me and the slow ticking of the clock on the wall. I couldn’t move much. My chest was still aching badly. Every breath felt like it might tear me open again.I lay still, watching the ceiling, trying not to think. Then I heard the door open.My hands tightened under the blanket as I smelled who it was. Axel. He walked in, pushing a cart of food. His footsteps were calm, too calm for my liking. I didn’t dare look at him right away. I stared at the wall instead. My heart was beating faster. I didn’t know if he was angry. I didn’t know if he was going to yell. Or worse.“You’re awake,” he said, his voice quiet but firm.I nodded a little. My throat felt dry.He moved the cart closer and uncovered the plates. Warm steam rose into the air. It smelled like soup and bread. I haven't eaten since... I couldn’t remember. But the sight of food didn’t comfort me.“You need to eat,” he said. “Your wound won’

The next few scenes were me being punched, kicked and slapped to almost make me pass out. My throat was already hurting due to the constant scream of vegging and leaving me alone. My chest started to bleed again and it stained the oversized white shirt Axel had given me. My screams were now replaced with loud sobs that made my lungs ache. I looked up in fear as the unknown man advanced towards me. He took a deep breath through his nose, and a wide smile spread across his face. Slowly, he walked towards me with deliberate and smooth steps. With each step he took, the malicious grin on his face got wider. I had scooted myself into a corner to try and escape his gaze and ferocity, and as he came to stand in front of me I tried pleading once more. "Please. I am begging you. Just leave me alone. You don't have to do this!" My words came out as sobs. "Shut up! You’re just a slave! You do not talk to me like that!" With another deep breath through his nose, he crouched down next to me a

I woke up to sunlight shining in my face, and the sound of a girl screaming. The sound was excruciatingly loud and sent chills up my spine. Above the screaming, I could hear Axel’s voice shouting. I couldn't make out the words, but he sounded furious and excited. The screaming continued for about another minute, until it slowly died down. The entire time this was happening, I sat cowering in the corner of my room, fearing I would be next to be screaming like that. But I made my decisions…to play safe..After what seemed like an eternity, I heard a door slam and footsteps coming my way. I cringed back in fear and huddled against the wall. The freshly stitched wounds on my chest reminded me of Axel’s brutality, and I didn't want to see what he was like when he was mad. My door was pushed open to reveal-of course- an infuriated Axel. He looked at my small frame huddled in the corner farthest from him, and smiled. I felt no comfort from his expression, only more fear. He stepped forward

I kept my head down and watched his feet as he approached me. Before I knew it, he was right next to me, lifting my chin upwards to look at his face. I tried to keep my eyes averted from his gaze and stop the tears that threatened to come again. "Look at me." His hot breath growled into my face.I slowly brought my eyes up to meet his. They were a deep, voidless black. This was the first good look I had gotten at his eyes and I hoped it would be my last. His black hair hung to the side with a few pieces escaping to fall on his forehead. A square jaw held light pink lips that always seemed to be smirking at me. His face was completely devoid of emotion, even though he was smirking. His eyes held nothing but emptiness and he looked at me as weak. It was terrifying being this close to him, and I could tell he knew I was uncomfortable. His hand grew tighter on my chin as I struggled desperately to free my head from his grip. I was beyond scared and wanted to be as far away from him as I

The envelope was brown. It doesn’t have a receiver or sender name.I should have felt it then, the warning, the poison in the air.Curious, I opened it anyway. The photograph slid out with a whisper.Seven’s face hit me first and beside him was a familiar face, too familiar, his arm wrapped around her. Hailey. The Moon Goddess. Her lips curved in a smirk so triumphant it made me sick. And between them was a baby. My baby.I staggered back a step, as if the floor itself had betrayed me. The little boy nestled in Hailey’s arms was unmistakable, the soft curl of his hair, the tiny birthmark on his cheek, a mark I knew because I had kissed it a thousand times. His smile, the one he used to give me, now aimed at her. At them. The baby I thought was kidnapped. My knees buckled. The pain wasn’t sharp. It was deep, an endless splitting inside my chest, like I was being hollowed out from the inside. Seven didn’t even look guilty. He looked proud. As if he belonged there, next to her, instead o

  • The Rogue's Little Mate   Chapter 154: Proposal

I awoke in my stall on the bed. Light was streaming through the small window high above me. The ferals outside were noisy and I could hear that they were tearing something apart. The sound was like squelching, like flesh tearing from bones or I don’t even want to know it. But because I was freaking curious, I stood up, despite the protest of my chest and looked at the small hole in my room. And there it was. A body was torn apart, the ferals were fighting, playing tag, trying to have a large portion.“So, who was it again?” I heard someone speak up. “The other man that the king found three weeks ago,” a man said. “Oh, the one who kept on resisting?”“Yes. Unfortunately, the king’s patience ran out and he fed him to his dog.”“Well, all of those who resist him always end up being fed to these beasts,” the other man replied, which scared me. Axel must have moved me from the floor to my bed and I was glad I was asleep for that. The pain of walking or being carried would have been uni

My mouth instantly began to water. He saw me staring at his hands and laughed aloud this time. "Oh, is my little mate? Hungry?" All I could do was nod intently. It had been days since I had anything to eat or drink, and the result of that was starting to weigh upon me."Well, why don't you come over to me and get it then?" Axel looked at me with danger in his eyes. He knew I refused, he’ll just going to do what he wanted and if I talk back, Fenrir will have mercy on me. Once I realized he was serious and the only way for me to get the piping hot bowl of newly cooked meat was to walk over to him, I almost screamed in frustration. He put me through it all, he tortured me and now I'm just supposed to walk it off?! Unbelievable. Despite what I thought though, he wasn't going to give me any food until I came over to him. I began to muster up all my strength and courage even if the thing on my chest hurts like hell. It didn’t dry up or at least close. In fact it went deeper in my flesh,

Jefferson led me back to my room. “I’m sorry,” I said, almost in a whisper.Jefferson halted and turned around to me. “Yeah, whatever. It’s too late,” he replied and assumed walking. “Just to let you know, Axel doesn't have plans on letting you live for too long. I shouldn’t tell you this but well, maybe I thought you deserve to know.”When we reached my room, he opened the door and I entered inside before.him slamming the door and locking it. Inside, I saw that the haystack was gone and replaced by a bed. I laid there for at least an hour. My eyes grew heavy and exhaustion threatened to overtake me, but I refused to fall asleep. I needed to get out of this torture house and back to my pack. How that would happen- I had no idea. I hoped beyond hope that Axel wouldn't be the one to come back and get me. If I saw him again I might pass out, just out of pure terror. He scared me beyond what I could handle right now, and I couldn't handle very much. With every second that went by I

Before I could process his change of mood, he had my wrists bound in silver handcuffs above my head. I hissed but I still tried to bring them down but a clink of metal and the sensation of being burned without fire prevented me from doing that. Axel had my arms chained above my head to where I was already tiptoeing. I could barely reach the floor. A smirk was now on his face as he stared at me, helpless. I let a whimper escape my lips as all courage drained from my body. Axel only smiled more at that, taking delight in my pain and fear. He now paraded around the room, making his way towards the hot coals in the fire pit. He then tossed more charcoal. “It seemed that you still didn’t know what you were here?” He looked at me expectedly to answer the question. Of course I knew. I knew because he already told me but I pretended I didn’t. “I didn’t.” I tried to lie and spit back at him, but my words only came out as a whimper. Axel laughed at that but didn’t reach his eyes.
