Chapter 6

Alexander sat behind his reddish brown desk in his spacious office, the room adorned with a display of wealth and success. His fingers consciously and unconsciously tapped on the wood, his mind consumed by the turmoil that had taken root in his life.

Samantha's had left him feeling adrift. He couldn't shake the desire to be a part of his child's life, even as he weighed the consequences it might bring.

Lost in thought, he shifted his attention to the towering glass windows, the wide city below reflecting the vastness of his concerns. His mind raced with possible solutions, but none seemed without their share of complications.
