“Have she eaten Manang?” I heard him ask one of our helpers here at home.

“Not yet. We just left the food in the room so that if she wants to eat, she can eat,” he replied.

The two talking outside were silent for a moment. A few minutes ago I heard the door slowly open. I kept clinging more and more to the blanket that covered my body.

He must have been angry again. He must have been more angry because I was not obeying.

After a while he carried me and bring in the coffee table inside of our bedroom. We both sited in one sit. I am in his lap.

There’s a lot of food in the table in front of us. Now I suddenly feel all the hunger from not eating since breakfast.
