"You know how much I hate you. Be prepared for the hell you will face if you dare to sign this marriage contract even once."
Svanna understood that she would never escape the dark images of life after deciding to leave California and returning to this horrible city. There was no choice. There were no good prospects that could save her from a desperate emergency. Nightroe had explained how the man still hated her so much after four years had passed. Four years filled with bad flashes, so much so that Svanna wished she no longer had perfect memories just to be drawn back to those painful dark times. Her breath came in long gasps when she saw how Nightroe's broad shoulders were already out of sight behind the door of the house. How pathetic. The man had only come to warn her about something that was a complicated decision between them. Svanna never expected that the offer of marriage on paper would lead to a perfect life. Nor was she sure if a pure bond could be such an incomprehensible idea. Nightroe would never put any feelings into her when the man himself was so hateful. Svanna just didn't have a choice between continuing to consider the offer from Russol Sullivan or holding on for dear life to the remaining sanity that still hung on her shoulders. Things were still complicated. She needed a huge sum of money to pay for her father's treatment at the hospital. Couldn't find another way. Almost desperate after being fired for something she didn't do. Bang! A thunderous shot from outside made Svanna's body jerk. Fear immediately invaded her mind about the dangers around her. This was a dark world. She shouldn't be surprised by the situation as it was now. Nightroe would inherit Russol Sullivan's leadership after marriage, and that man had just wandered into the place where she lived. It made perfect sense for a dangerous scene like this to occur. Or maybe not. Some clues in Svanna's mind seemed to tell her that there was something odd about the loud noise. Tentatively, she decided to take a step towards the door. Perhaps Nightroe had a wild motivation towards the need to threaten her in a more frightening way. "Nightroe, are you there?" Svanna swallowed roughly as the urgency within her pinned an unexpected alarm. The tension in the shoulders increased brutally when facing the need to touch the cold doorknob. "Nightroe ...." She was still so careful when the grip of the hand was so firmly there. The door of the house was only half-opened, and unexpectedly, a single bullet pierced the property of the house. Svanna held her breath, but suddenly someone smothered her lips from behind. She struggled. It took almost all her strength to avoid any risk. "Shut up!" Not expecting that Nightroe was the alleged perpetrator. The man's grip was unusually strong as he pulled her back into the house, while the heavy gunfire in the open space was almost deafening. "What happened?" Svanna was still trying to understand the situation between them. A little incredulous that Nightroe... yeay, Nightroe... was willing to make physical contact with her. The man had always felt disgusted whenever there was an unexpected encounter since the incident four years ago changed everything. "Hide where you feel safe." Nightroe's freezing cold voice came to the surface after finishing with the activity of sniffing around. The man even immediately went to the window and made a simple shield while aiming the weapon through the small open gap. Svanna realized that she should have obeyed Nightroe's order before he changed his mind and turned to shoot her dead. She was sure that was exactly what Nightroe wanted to do—just try to hold back, because her death would be easy, and the man did not want that prospect to happen at all. A place where she felt safe.... Svanna would not deny that. She quickly ran towards the room, then crawled under the bed. This house was cramped—for God's sake. She had no choice, and there was no denying that the relevant memories of four years ago still felt so good. Svanna covered both ears. The sounds were painful to hear, but she needed to wait until the silence no longer rumbled wildly around. All done? She wondered cluelessly, flinching slightly as someone's firm steps sounded closer and closer to her room. The door opened, and the seduction of Nightroe's dark shoes felt so binding. Svanna wanted to rush out but was restrained when the man first looked down to find her face down. Nightroe's face was so cold, especially the sapphire color of those eyes staring so intently. Svanna, not expecting to make a mistake, immediately took action to get out. She patted away the dust that might have stuck to her body after being in the same position and staying under the bed for so long. Svanna raised her face as she stood facing Nightroe's towering body. "You protected me..." she said slowly. There was nothing wrong with that statement, but in an instant Svanna found Nightroe's expression turning dark. The muscles on that stern face tightened violently. It looked like Nightroe didn't like it. She just wanted to thank you; was that wrong?"Bring some change of clothes here."And he added after finding that she was still here.Svanna blinked rapidly. She immediately did whatever Nightroe said. She was in such a hurry that she had to swallow hard, watching as the man seemed to have serious trouble trying to unbutton his shirt."Let me do it."Svanna bent her legs on the sofa as she did so. She had removed button after button, but another shock immediately struck her when she found a large scratch on her husband's chest."How did this happen, Nightroe? You have to see a doctor."Svanna dared to touch the wound there. The blood seemed to have dried long ago. She knew Nightroe not only needed a change of clothes, but the man's body needed to be cleaned."Wait here for a moment."It was always like this. Whenever she was about to leave, he would easily prevent her from doing anything she was about to do."Where's my cake?""I gave your cake to Jackson and Willy. Forget about that for now. You're badly injured."Now there was
“Anna....”Nightroe's deep voice suddenly broke through. Svanna didn't think she would be able to accept the appearance of this man, who was staggering as if he were drunk, but in fact he wasn't. She could see that Nightroe was sober. It was just that his gait was unusual, and the most striking thing was the blood and scars on him. What had actually happened?Something inside Svanna immediately urged her to get up from the bed. She put down her book and walked towards the man. There were dirt stains and several tears in her husband's clothes, as if Nightroe had encountered a major problem on his way home, but the man didn't even have a chance to treat himself."Where's the cake you made?"One question made Svanna stare at the man in disbelief. A little hint; Nightroe's motivation was understandable. Still with the same goal. Still with the same cake, but what could Svanna say? She was too upset and made everything a mess. "I—"The words in her throat were unfinished. However, shock
Svanna could hardly remember what kind of cake Nightroe wanted—long ago... a long time ago, and now she had to face the moment when the request for lots of strawberries was something new to accomplish. She just needed to be a little careful. Didn't want to make any mistakes when arranging the bright red fruits—sweet and sour clashed when she decided to taste a little. It was done....Svanna smiled slightly; she was quite satisfied with the perfectly risen handmade cake. Didn't know how Nightroe would react. She hoped the man would like her efforts, after she had rushed through everything in the kitchen. Perhaps she was too tired, waking up at the wrong times. It was like this, so it should be fine. After all, many of Nightroe's tastes had changed and Svanna had no clue. They were reuniting after four years. She was sure it was reasonable to remind her that it was better to be late in learning new things than never to learn them at all.The clock on the wall kept ticking; it was almost
Personal work...Svanna never knew that the man had personal work outside of his position as Don of the Sullivan family.Perhaps the work Nightroe was referring to was not much different from the daily activities of gangsters out there. Svanna blinked. She tried not to think of it as bad news, even though she was very scared. Afraid that Nightroe might do something she absolutely did not want him to do. But what could she say? Nightroe always felt that whatever he did was his prerogative. No one could interfere, not even the woman he had married that day."Can I know what kind of personal work you do?"She felt this needed to be discussed seriously. Something inside Svanna was committing a great betrayal. She clearly didn't want to provoke Nightroe's anger, but instead asked the question to get more information."Your job is only to serve me. Nothing more. You don't need to know anything else."Now what? She was nothing more than a sex slave. Nightroe would never take her existence t
"You're so tight."Again. That's what Nightroe said when Svanna didn't get a clue when the man had stripped off her thin clothes and was now... trying to penetrate her down there.Svanna swallowed hard after half of his was inside her body, while Nightroe's hips continued to push tentatively. It continued like that until they reached the main course, where there was a little more freedom of movement. At first it was so slow and Svanna could feel how her body was so full down there. She was almost too nervous when Nightroe's sapphire eyes were serious, as if the need for eye contact was an important prospect that could not be overlooked. Only when the man wanted to do something else did Svanna immediately close her eyes... feeling Nightroe's mouth playing a bigger role. A habit, devouring her breasts so greedily and making her a helpless prey.Svanna quietly ran her hand over Nightroe's broad back; feeling every texture of her husband's body with different frequencies. Nightroe did a
"It's not how many times you shoul taught me. It's that you want too much. You're a maniac," Svanna said without thinking. Perhaps her instincts demanded that she truly rebel, provoking Nightroe's anger as he stared sharply at her."Are you brave now?" Not entirely. Svanna just wanted Nightroe to give them a break for a moment. This was undeniable, it was still part of the honeymoon plan, but Svanna wanted to make sure their feelings were still ambiguous. She might let Nightroe touch her as much as he wanted when there was no more hatred left."I'm just tired and want to take a shower as soon as possible, Nightroe."She hoped this was the right answer. However, Svanna felt an extraordinary tension creeping up her spine when Nightroe seemed uninterested in understanding. The man brought his face closer; there was almost no distance between them, then he dropped his mouth into the hollow of her neck. There was no protest, which was strange. Svanna showed almost no reaction and let Nigh
