"Thank you for coming." I said while shaking hands with one of the random customers as she bought lots of my dresses for her upcoming wedding.
"Will come next time too." She said while winking at me and I passed her a polite smile. "I will be grateful." I said and waved her a bye as she left my boutique. I huffed and walked towards the door to close the boutique as it was already 8:30 PM and I usually close my boutique at eight so I better close it now before someone else comes.
After closing the boutique and arranging some stuff back to it's previous places. I made my way upstairs as my stomach growled. I'm hungry.
I've forbidden 'the boy' to come down in the boutique and he is very obedient. He is a very mature boy even though he looks around seven. Look at the kid of his age and then look at him. A huge difference. Maybe his past made him like this.
As soon as I entered on the second floor a delicious aroma filled my nostrils, making my stomach growl even more. I dashed towards the kitchen and my eyes widened when I found the little one standing on a stool while stirring a spoon in the hot pot.
I gawked at him for a good while before making my way towards him. I ruffled his hair and he flinched. "Woah, it's just me." I said and his tensed shoulders relaxed. I peeked in the hot pot and found him making chicken soup.
Oh my god, this kid knows how to cook.
"You know how to cook?" I asked and he nodded. I smiled widely before pinching his cheeks. "Thank you, I was so hungry." I said and he nodded. All of a sudden he pointed at me and did something with his fingers.
Wait! Does he know sign language?
Well, I thought he didn't know about it.
"Me, What?" I asked confused and he repeated his actions again. He pointed at me and then at himself. My eyes widened when I actually realized what he was trying to say.
"You like me." I said and he slapped his hand on his forehead while shaking his head. Oh, I guess I got it wrong and I need to learn some sign language.
All of a sudden he nodded. I passed him a look and started to laugh. He wasn't saying this but he does agree that he likes me.
"I like you, too, kid. I'm hungry." I said and he snapped his hand in front of my face telling me to wait five minutes more.
"Yes, sir." I said and took out two bowls for both of us from the cabinet with two spoons as I grabbed bread from the corner and put everything on the shelf. I looked at him from head to toe.
He is such a smart kid.
I noticed his clothes and thought about going outside to buy some clothes for him tomorrow morning.

"If something happens you will call me, okay?" I asked while handing him the phone which Sophia gave me. It was her old phone and it wasn't in her use so she gave it to me for this boy. I've taught him how to call me and he got it right away.
I still don't know his name. It has been five days now.
He nodded and walked towards the bed where he usually sits with his knees pulled against his chest. I don't know what he has gone through but I feel sorry for him.
"I will be back soon." I said and he nodded. I smiled and walked out of the room as I made my way downstairs. I usually open my boutique at ten and it was eight so I have two hours to do his shopping.
I locked the house and checked the lock two times before tucking my hand in my coat pocket and making my way down the street. There weren't many people around.
I walked down the street while humming a song. I saw a tall man coming from the opposite side. He was wearing all black with a black long coat and there was a hoodie on his head as he walked with his head low.
I didn't focus on him much as I was busy singing a song.
But as the man was about to walk past me all of a sudden he grabbed my wrist and I looked up. My breath got stuck in my throat when I saw the scar face. His eyes looked down at me like a predator and I was his prey. We were walking but I don't know in which direction. Everything around me stopped and all I could see or think was him.
"Mate." He said and my eyes widened. He left my arm and walked past me. I blinked my eyes and shook my head as I looked around and found myself standing on the same spot where he grabbed my wrist. We weren't walking. It felt like we were walking and everyone around us stopped but it was actually the opposite.
What just happened?
I looked back and my eyes widened even more when I saw him walking. He was still here. Without thinking much I rushed towards him and grabbed his arm pulling him back.
"Woah, what the hell." The man said and I frowned. It wasn't him. He was a blonde dude. He is new on our street. I looked at him from head to toe and he was a lot smaller in figure than the scar face.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I mistook you as someone else." I said and left his arm. He passed me a weird look and immediately left. He will think that I am a weirdo now. Great, just great.
But where did he go?
There was no street around which he could turn and that guy was totally different.
Am I hallucinating?
What the hell is even happening?
Weird incidents have started to happen ever since I've met him.
Thank you." I said and grabbed the pastry bag as I walked out of the cafe. I bought these pastries for that little one. Ever since he entered my life I somehow feel alive again. That kid cooks for me and is really obedient. So these pastries are his reward. Not only a reward but just for him. Just to see a smile on his face because that kid rarely smiles.I bought him some clothes with some toys. I walked down the street with a smile on his face. I just wanted to see his reaction. But my smile didn't last long when I saw the scars standing in the corner of the street sitting on their bikes. Some smoking, some with girls and some just laughing but then my eyes paused on him and my breath hitched when my eyes met his.He was looking here right at me. Even though we were so far and his face was hidden I can still see his eyes on me. Those eyes are dangerous. A pure definition of evilness.I gulped and looked around trying to fi
I locked the door and turned around. I took a deep breath and leaned on the door. My heart beat was running like it was in a marathon race. I could hear the sound of my heart thundering in my chest and in my ears. My whole face was red due to running and I was trying to breathe in the air as it was getting hard to breathe.I immediately put the bags on the couch and rushed towards my counter to grab my inhaler. "Where i-is it?" I harshly opened the drawer and threw the stuff coming in my way only to find my inhaler but I couldn't find it.My shoulders got tensed as I couldn't find my inhaler where I put it last time. I slapped my chest and coughed as I couldn't breathe. I took off my coat and threw it away.I can't go up in this condition.
"Here you go, little one." I said as I forward him the plate of food. It was boiled vegetables with some spices. He examined the plate and then looked at me. I expected him to gawk about the food but instead of that he licked his lips and dug into the meal.My eyes widened in shock. Oh my god, this child is sooooo good. I smiled and sat beside him as I dug into my meal too. Yesterday's incident was still on my mind and I'm trying my best to not to leave the house not until there's something really important.Nothing happened yesterday night nor this morning. I expected them to hit my windows with stones or even bullets but nothing happened which was good but my anxiety was still high."You finish the dinner and then we'll go through revision, okay?" I asked
Everything around me started to get hazy. I could see their footsteps surrounding me. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't find a solution. Either I die right now or I get up...get up for my dreams, get up for that boy, get up for myself.I closed my eyes and tried to relax. Nothing is happening to me. Death is written there is no need to be scared of anyone. I have to get up.I felt someone touching my shoulder. I opened my eyes and saw a girl kneeling down in front of me. Although her face was also hidden, her energy somehow felt positive. You have to get up,NOW!I took a deep breath and immediately sat up on my knees. I looked around and saw every
After sending Sophia I got some customers. I helped them with choosing some dresses and they just left a few minutes ago so I decided to sit down and go through my novels since I haven't touched them for more than a week now.As I was going through my novels I heard someone entering the boutique but didn't bother to look up thinking that it might be one of my customers. The room fell to an eerie silence all of a sudden as I could only hear the person's footsteps approaching closer. My fingers paused while turning the page and my heartbeat accelerated in no seconds.I gulped down my saliva as I felt a strange feeling in the pit of my stomach."Hello."
I yawned and turned the page as I shifted on the couch for a comfortable position. My fingers caressed the page before I actually started reading. The little one was taking shower and I was reading one of my favourite books these days. I flinched when I heard a thud sound coming from the restroom.Oh shoot, did he fall down?I immediately put the book away and stood up as I made my way towards the restroom. I knocked on the door..."Hey, you alright?" I asked and then shut my eyes in disbelief. He can't speak, Aurora.I knocked on the door once again."Open the door." I said and af
No matter how much I tried...In the end everything broke me down.I was finally getting into lifeBut.....I guess worst was yet to comeand here I stand trapped, feeling so helpless, depending on his mercy.Fear never leaves...no matter how much I try to be strong...I always lose. These hungry animals would never let me go, not until they have what they want and I can't give them what they want."It's hurting, let me go." Sometimes you forget your true power because of your own fear.Fear created by you, yourself.Your fear empowers your desire to bloom. You, yourself make the enemy stronger.Either you knock them down the very first time or either you fall down and hide in the corner, blaming your fate and blaming the god.Your fate might have been written long ago but it's all on you.You either fight for your dreams or you either go along with your fate which sometimes have nothing but failures, but it's all on you.Su
