Renee

Something had changed that night when Roman returned to the room, I wasn't asleep. Majorly because of the fear that another nightmare awaited if I dared fall asleep and also because of Roman.

He had seen me break down, he hadn't pushed me away, he had comforted me in his own strange way.

As he slept on his own side of the bed, I couldn't help but think that I had made him uncomfortable and that was why he didn't want me near him.

“Did you leave because of me?” My voice was a bit hoarse a

Roman She was a strange woman and I noticed how often she would avert her gaze and how careful she was being. It felt as though the woman in front of me had two personalities fighting to be the one who spoke first because every once in a while they would fight for dominance over each other.I still could not tell how she managed to convince me, maybe it was because I wanted to win Levi so badly, I wanted to prove to him like one of those numerous times that he was no match for me.I watched the blush spread against her cheeks and how she struggled to hide it with her hair. She looked beautiful, like a porcelain doll, delicate and pale but there was something about her that gave her an unsettling aura. I wondered why she seemed so familiar to me. When she finally looked up, there was a sudden urge to tug the hair that covered each side of her face behind her cheeks and I felt disgusted at myself when my hands clenched into tight fists and the desire to do just that burned inside o

He didn't respond. I knew he heard me, but after a few minutes of silence, I also knew he wasn't going to respond.I didn't sleep that night, I needed extra help, something that could hurt Rosalie ans Levi almost immediately but I couldn't think of anything. The next morning came and Roman went on getting ready, he didn't say a word to me , which was even more confusing than his usual indifference towards my existence. When he was about to leave, he dro

RomanI stared at her whimpering sleeping figure unsure of what to do. My wolf cries for her pounded in my ears so hard I thought it would burst from its cage. But I wasn't going to let my beast dictate how I should handle the situation. Instead, I sat on the edge of the bed and watched as she tossed about in her sleep. She mumbled a few words, but I didn’t need to understand them to know she was scared. Her small body shivered violently beneath the blankets as she clutched it tightly.“Stop please,” I heard her beg all over again, like a mantra. “Make it stop, make it stop” she continued on repeating these sentences until she jerked up into a sitting position. Her eyes landed on mine immediately as this time I was already inches away from her face.I noticed the tears that flowed steadily down her cheeks as she looked at me. They glinted like silver under the pale moonlight as they ran down into her furrowed brows. The sight of it broke my wolf's heart. But I remained unmove

Renee I felt stuck in something I couldnt understand. I couldn't tell if it was reality or a dream, the kind where people are trapped in walls for no reason and arent even aware of it until their own voices reach them again. The sound echoed around in my head and made me feel disoriented. I wasn't sure if my ears were playing tricks on me, l I heard a cry of a child 's voice, which sounded oddly familiar to me. It rang out loud and clear. A sense of familiarity overwhelmed me. My chest tightened, like someone had taken a tight hold of it and was slowly squeezing my heart with no end in sight.“No, please, stop” My voice didn't sound like mine, it sounded like it was coming from a distance and when I tried to move, but I couldn’t. It felt like a weight was placed over my body and I was stuck with the unforgiving darkness. My hands curled around my stomach protectively and it felt empty. “My baby” The words slipped out before I could stop myself.Where was he? Where was I?I could h

Renee Roman was not home and I couldn't exactly tell what the update was with him He had been acting very off and I could recognize the smell of guilt that oozed from him. I didn't care, he wasn't exactly my problem, and the little time I tried to be empathetic, he acted as though I were the problem. My presence was annoying, it just didn't fit in here with his so I let him be. I stared at myself in the mirror and even though everyone thought of how perfect my face was, I could still see traces of my old self. Not all things change, but some do. Like the way I could feel pain somewhere inside me every time I looked into those big eyes, I could see myself staring back at them. My real self, the old one everyone hated. I went for a run because I needed one to come up with the next plan. On my way back from running, it was around evening around 7 pm and as I ran through the street that led to the castle, it felt like I was being watched. A cold shiver crept up my spine and I

Renee I waited for Levi and I was a nervous mess. I didn't know how I was going to react sitting alone across a man I once loved, a man who wanted me dead.“Hi, I didn't think you'd show up” I said when Levi finally walked into the cafe. My wolf snarled inside of me, begging me just to rip his throat out and kill him, but I didn't.Levi smiled, staring at me with lustful eyes for a second or so before turning away and scanning the coffeehouse. “Yeah, well, I thought if my brother’s wife needed me, it must be important,” he went on, as if things were rosy between them.“I see, I was thinking of planning a surprise for my husband, I wanted to ask you some of his favorite things from childhood, so I can make something that he would like, I think that would be extra special” I said in an innocent tone of voice. Levi’s face fell and a flash of anger crossed his eyes before being quickly wiped away as if nothing had happened. “Oh well, if that's what you need. I'll try to find something,
