FAZER LOGINScarred and wolfless, Renee is chosen by a powerful Alpha… only to be used, betrayed, and left for dead after her child is stolen. "What the hell do you think you're doing!" The sharp bark behind me caused me to whirl around too fast, and the mug I had been reaching for slipped out of my grasp and went tumbling to the ground. I let out a startled squeal, jumping away as the mug crashed to the ground. "Renee, are you alright?" Rosalie cried, racing forward to pull me away from the wreckage. "Oh goodness, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for that to happen," to my embarrassment, tears started to fill my eyes again. I blamed it on the hormones. Ever since I had gotten pregnant, I could go from laughing to sobbing in the space of seconds. I couldn't wait to have this baby and finally be myself again. "It's alright, just take a seat," my husband's stunning long-time friend said with a small smile, ushering me onto a kitchen stool. I stared at the fragments of ceramic, "I should clean that up before it hurts someone" She stared at me like I had grown a second head, "What are the maids for?" Before I could say another word, she had snapped her fingers and two uniformed maids scurried into the kitchen with brooms at the ready, and I reflexively ducked my head to hide my face from them. "Didn't I tell you that anything you needed, you were to get one of the maids to do it?" She chided, arms crossed over her chest. Rosalie was a stunning woman, with hazel eyes and strawberry blonde hair. She was tall, slim and elegant, always wearing the most fashionable designer clothes. How someone like her could stand to be around someone like me was a mystery. But then again, they did say birds of the same feathers flocked together, so I wasn't surprised that someone with such a pure heart as her was a good friend of my wonderful husband. "I just wanted to make some tea. It's not a big deal," I muttered. Her eyes narrowed at me, and then dropped down pointedly to my swollen stomach "If you continue stressing yourself this way, you'll only hurt your baby. You've already come such a long way, don't ruin things with your stubbornness" I rubbed a hand over my nine month belly, marveling at the thought that any day from now, I would have a child with Levi’s vivid blue eyes to call mine. Tears beaded my eyes and I blinked them away. "I'm so sorry. I'll be more careful," I owed these past few happy months of my life to my husband and his friend. If not for them, I would have been roaming the streets, homeless, scared, broke and hopeless. Once I had the baby, I was going to talk to my husband about Rosalie becoming the child's godmother. "I care about this child," her eyes softened, "We only want what's best for you. You know that right?" I nodded rapidly, keeping my face turned slightly away from her, "I know. I appreciate everything you've done for me. You don't know how much it means to me. If not for you, I don't know what would have become of me" Just then, I heard the sound of footsteps drawing nearer and I turned excitedly to watch my husband's gorgeous figure walk into the kitchen. He paused at the entrance, blue eyes swinging between Rosalie and I. "What's going on here?" He asked. I trailed my eyes over him hungrily as the woman at my side replied him. At over six feet tall, my husband was the definition of a tall glass of wine. A form fitting navy blue suit hugged his broad shoulders, wide chest and trim musculature, making my mouth water. I hadn't known desire until I had met Levi by chance last year. From the first glance, I had been lost and when he had to my surprise smiled at me, I had fallen hard and fast. Who would have thought that a nobody like me would ever be married to a handsome werewolf heir like him. I didn't even care about the rites that made him unable to make love to me after the first time, I was ready to stand by his side through any condition. "You look radiant today, Renee," he smiled at me, "Is today perhaps the day?" My smile withered a little, but I pasted it back on my face immediately. He had been more insistent about my due date of recent, and I was beginning to think he was tired of my pregnancy mood swings and cravings. "Maybe" I replied. "Fingers crossed!" Rosalie squealed, "I can't wait to have a baby"My brows furrowed, confusion painted on my face. Wasn't I the one having the baby? Well, it must have just slipped out in her excitement. "Any more thought into the names I selected?" I asked my husband. He had been dragging his feet about selecting a name, and I really hoped we wouldn't end up rushing the process and naming our child something like “John” He and Rosalie exchanged a glance and warning bells went off in my head. "I'll look through the names today” he said, "I haven't really had time to look at the list. Everything has been hectic of late" "We can look through it together tonight?" I suggested, hoping that it would be a step toward us sharing a bed for some cuddling. Even though we weren't sleeping together, it was still strange that we had never shared a bed. At my side, the hazel eyed woman stiffened. "Give it a rest, Renee," she chuckled, "He said he would look at them, and he would. Why don't you just let the poor, exhausted man rest?" Guilt churned in my belly, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I…" Something wet began to slide down the inside of my thighs and I glanced down in panic. Realisation hit me barely a second later, "Oh gods…” "What?" The two barked in unison, and I had the sudden thought that they were very similar. "I think the baby is coming," I croaked.Roman“What the hell is going on here?” I yelled at the workers who seemed startled by my presence.“Your highness!” One of them bowed his head as he continued working without even trying to hide it.“What are you doing on my land?” I growled with anger.“Prince Levi hired us…” I didn't wait for him to finish speaking, I began storming off to look for him. Levi was messing with me.And not quite long, I found him near the training grounds, surrounded by a few members of our clan, his posture loose, arrogant as ever, a cup in his hand as if the world had not shifted off its axis. As if my beast wasn’t clawing me apart from the inside out.The moment I saw him, something in me snapped. My wolf surged forward, teeth bared, rage blazing hot and bright. It took everything in me not to shift on the spot.“Levi”He didn't move.I stalked toward him, each step felt heavy, deliberate, like the calm before an execution.“Levi” I called out to him again after he had ignored my question and tu
Renee“What are you doing here?” Rosalie didn't seem pleased to see me, as her eyes narrowed, her mouth pulled into a thin line, and she stared at me with disapproval. After everything with Roman, I didn't wait around, not for him. I took matters into my own hands“I thought I would come say hi” I plastered a fake smile on my face. She scoffed “You're not welcome to stay in this house”I proceeded to feign hurt and surprise. “Why? Why is that? It's been almost three weeks since we last saw each other. I thought the two of us could...” My voice trailed off, but my words weren't lost on her. “My husband is out of reach!” She snapped. Her face turned red, and I noticed beads of sweat glistening on her forehead as her temper flared even more.I swallowed hard. “Rosalie, I am not here for your husband. I just thought we could catch up, as sisters-in-law do. It doesn't have to mean anything. We both love our husbands. Don't you?” I pleadedShe stared at me for a while as if debatin
Unknown POVI hated him. He always acted like he was better than everyone else, but he was only just lucky. Yet it didn't stop him from raising his shoulders as if he was perfect. His flaws that were visible as neon lights were easily overlooked and it pissed me off even more.I wanted to tear him down, I wanted to show them his flaws, to show them how ugly he was but man was I wrong. If I thought I was fast, he was faster and if I thought I was smart, he was smarter. I was always second best. I didn't stand a single chance. So I withdrew into my shell and then I began to plan ways I could hurt, and bring him total misery. I didn't want to see him happy.I remember the first time I saw her. I didn't know she was with him and when I eventually did, I remembered how I watched them from afar, that night, it was the first time I was seeing her that close.Red.That was the color of her dress.Red like flames dancing in fire. Like a sea of rubies reflecting the moonlight. Like a firestorm
RomanMy eyes lingered on her lips, her breath fanned my face and I almost gave into the temptation of leaning closer. But I did the unexpected. I shoved her out.I shoved her right out, and I expected her to give up but Celestria was stubborn, she returned some hours later. “I brought you soup,” She said as she stood in front of my door, holding a tray at the same time giving me a scrutinizing look. I knew what it meant. She wanted to know if I was okay or not. I couldn’t blame her for that either. I was pretty sure I wasn’t supposed to do a lot of things. My body ached from the anger I still felt and what was worse than the shame that came after vulnerability? I had always promised myself that I would be strong for my mother but I wasn't.Yet I couldn't explain the exhaustion settled into an easy slumber. It had taken a long time to fall asleep last night. The nightmares were never as bad, but they would make it hard for me to get enough rest.“Can I at least come in?”asked Celest

Unknown For a while, I let my eyes roam around the castle until my attention fell on another person, my wolf told me she was my next prey, the key, and answer to it all, and flashing a dazzling smile I moved to her.And as days by, as eager and helpful as this person was, I was able to get the nec

ReneeAfter he left, I thought of what I was supposed to do. There were places I needed to be, things I needed to find out and most especially, I wanted to sneak around to get closer to my son.My chest couldn't take the distance.
