“Is Scott fine?” Veronica asked, not sure of what to say exactly.

“I'm not sure.” Beta Richard answered simply, not going into any details.

Veronica immediately knew he didn't want to talk too much about it, so she didn't push for any more questions. She just remained silent throughout the drive to the hospital.

As they got to the hospital and pulled up at the car park, he quickly dashed in, with Veronica running behind him to catch up with him.

They met Beta Lily at the reception trying to talk to one of the nurses.

“Lily?” He called out, rushing to her.

“What is going on? I couldn't hear you properly when you called. I only heard you say that you're heading to the hospital.” He explained before she could even start talking.

“How is Scott? What are you doing here? What did the doctor say? Is he going to be fine? Are we allowed to see him?” Beta Richard asked in a rush, leaving his wife no room to answer any of his numerous questions.
