Eva Gibson’s pov

It was bittersweet to see Jace’s truck parked there, knowing he would never be seen driving in it again.

Austin and Dante entered sitting in the front seats while I sat in the back and thought of the younger, white, blonde-haired Jace.

“I'm going to miss him. He was a great friend,” I sighed from the back seat.

I met Austin’s eyes in the rearview mirror and saw his painful nod of agreement.

“So tell me Austin, what is your wolf like? Is it different being a druid?” Dante inquired as we drove to Jace’s farmhouse.

Side-eyeing him, Austin’s brow creased in thought before he answered.

“I don't notice anything unusual, but I haven't allowed the energy inside of me to be fully released either. Will it affect my wolf?”

Humming slightly, Dante snorted rudely.

“Yeah, you will need to allow your wolf to take it on so I can see if your mate can control the beast,” He asserted, and I shuddered as I clasped my hands.

    Eva Gibson’s pov “Hold hands, and I will teleport you to your residence,” Gideon asserted as he grabbed my hand and told me to hold Austin's. I thanked him softly for keeping me from touching Dante, who was studying me curiously. “It's going to be difficult to hide your pregnancy.
