But Roth did not turn around, instead he leaned towards the person sitting in front of him. That was when Tristan registered with a pang in his heart that Roth was there with someone, some girl. One of his many special female friends most probably, Tristan thought saltily.

He could not see the girl’s face because Roth’s head was blocking him, and Oliver kept tugging at his arm, to gesture at him to start moving. Tristan’s fists were balled up, and his jaw clenched - he was at the peak of self-control, and he didn’t want to test himself further.
