Chp 4 Pt. 6 - Kidnapped

“So where is Davina,” I ask Shaun. He hangs his head.

“I’m sorry we failed. They escaped by teleporting. The shifters that didn’t make it to a warlock or witch are being hunted as we speak, but they took her. She‘s gone,” he says. Gabriel Ortiz slams his fist on the table in frustration.

“Easy Gabriel” says Dimitri, the high warlock. “We will find her.”

“It is just as much my fault she is gone. I couldn’t protect her and I was there. I should have been able to protect her.”

“You were outnumbered and knocked unconscious Gabriel. Don’t blame yourself. You are strong but even you have your limits. You are lucky they didn’t kill you,” Dimitri tries reassuring Gabriel.

“How are we going to find her,” I ask.

“Gabriel will be able to track the seal that is on her. Since he is blood related to Daniel he will be able to find her easier than another warlock. Those who cast the seal have a stronger connection,” replies Dimitri. He does’t finish the sentence. We all know what he means. Onl
