Davina It is a beautiful summer day here on the east coast. I love the heat. I am fifteen years old, soon to be sixteen and I’ll be graduating high school just before my birthday in September. I use to get picked on in school because of how smart I am and my hair color so I was glad to be able to finish school on line. I have already been accepted into the University of South Carolina for business. I plan on taking over my parent’s restaurant once I graduate college. It is a quaint little family restaurant called Ortiz’s Place and it has the best pies. I may be a bit biased there. My favorite being my mother’s banana cream pie. I spend my days completing my school work at the restaurant and working there part time. I love the atmosphere and making people feel at home while at the restaurant. Everyone is so friendly. “Uncle Gabriel and your father have a surprise for you.” I look at mom with a wide eyed expression and begin grilling her. “What is it? It’s not my birthday. Is it a graduation present? What is it?” My mom laughs at me as I finish my last question. “You’ll just have to wait and see when we get there. I’d hate to ruin the surprise,” says mom. “You suck at keeping secrets. Spill it.” “Not this time,” she laughs. I sit in the car in agony as I swear mom is driving so slow on purpose. I drum my fingers on the laptop bag and stare out the window. I am waiting to see the restaurant sign come into view. I decide to check my email as I am waiting for my test results to come in. I know I passed but it’ll be nice to have the final results. Thierry I have watched Davina grow up throughout the years and have been around her whole life. She considers me somewhat of an uncle and I consider her my niece. I have wolves surrounding her should something go wrong. Some of my best warriors work at the Ortiz restaurant. I have even placed wolves at the university as professors, students or even security guards. The Smith twins, Daniel and Daniela, are my best and most fierce warriors. If someone took on one of the twins they wouldn’t stand a chance but together those two are deadly. Only my son Mark could only best them if they don’t fight together, though I have caught him letting Daniela win. I am happy for my son. I do hope Daniela turns out to me his mate. The night we lost Davina’s parents still haunts me. Probably always will. I failed in protecting them but I would not fail their daughter. He also allowed mythical creatures like the kitsunes, phoenix, and the winged white tiger into the realm. However, creating this realm exhausted Ryuu of his powers.
