TOM

I looked up when Blake came out from the bathroom. He was dressed in my clothes and his hair was still a little bit wet. He didn't look at me as he went to sit on the edge of the bed, drying his hair. There was something about seeing him in my clothes, sitting there like it was the most natural thing in the world, that made it hard for me to focus on anything else in the room.

"Want me to help?" I asked, closing my book.

"No." He replied.

"Why? I thought you said we're friends?" I said, sta

  • The Small Whisperer: They wanted the Alpha's Omega dead    Blake I–

TOMI knocked at Blake's room and he opened it immediately. “Oh,” he said, walking back in. “What do you mean ‘oh'?” I said, closing the door.“I didn't expect it to be you?”“Were you expecting someone else?” I asked, staring at him. His arm was bandaged and not bloody anymore.“I thought it would be Pete,” he replied, sitting on the bed. I raised an eyebrow. “So you'd prefer Pete over me?”“That's not what I said,” he quickly said and then sighed, “what are you doing here, Tom?”“Nothing, I just wanted to see you.” I walked to him and sat on the bed, facing him. I gently touched his arm, “does it still hurt?”“A little. Not as bad as the elbow.”I hummed. “In about three days, I think it should be healed.” “So what happened to the man?” he asked.“That's taken care of.” I left it at that. I wasn't sure how comfortable he'll be at discussing magic. “How? Magic?” I nodded. “Someone is making them do crazy things.”“To kill me.” He said, not as a question.“Yes, kill you. But don'

  • The Small Whisperer: They wanted the Alpha's Omega dead    They're free to leave

TOMSunlight slanted through the tall windows, catching the dust that drifted above the elders' heads."It didn't even take long for my words to be true." Bob said, a satisfied smirk on his face as he stared at me. "Yet again, the pack is plunged into games of witches." Bob's chair creaked as he shifted, his fingers drumming against the long oak table. The hall was silent as they stared our way, waiting for a sort of explanation. But before my dad or Chris could say anything, I spoke. Because today and from this point onwards, I wasn't going to take this shit from them. I could feel every pair of eyes in the room, some curious, some already hostile, and I didn't feel the need to shrink under any of it. "So are you saying I, the soon to be alpha, brought these troubles to the pack?" I asked, my eyes on Bob. "Are you accusing me right now of putting the pack members' lives in jeopardy?""That's not what I said. I-""So what are you saying? Because with or without the pack accepting me

TOM"Can I convince you to stay?" I asked Blake who firmly shook his head. I playfully groan, "you'll be seeing more of me, though." I said as we walked along a lonely path. We were going to the new apartment for the three of them. Since Blake didn't bring anything, we were empty handed. And right now, he was still wearing my clothes. The path was quieter than usual, the kind of quiet that made every rustle of leaves sound louder than it should, though neither of us paid it any mind at the time."Are you sure Will agreed to it?" Blake asked and I could hear the hesitation seep out of his voice."Yeah, he did. You don't have to worry about him, he's fine about the arrangement. Plus, if anything happens I think you and Pete can take him down." I said and saw him fight back a smile. "And about Tyson, you don't need to worry about that too. I'll take care of him." He nodded. As we walked I was really tempted to take his hand but decided against it. Since we became friends again, I decide

I say beside him, leaving little to no space."Do you dry Nathan's hair?"I smiled, "okay you got me there. What I meant was, special friends do dry each other's hair." I placed my hand in his, holding the towel still and waiting for him to release it. He did.I went to the back of him, both my legs at either side of his body. I then dried his hair, stylishly smelling how good it was. The scent of my own shampoo o

  • The Small Whisperer: They wanted the Alpha's Omega dead    Is that even possible?

TOM It was quiet for a few moments as Owen and I head straight to meet Will and Pete. "So you're saying you were the one who directed them here in the first place?" I asked, staring at the side of his head as he smiled. "Yes, and everything too. If you're asking me a bunch of questions about them then I can guess you already know they're mixed." "That wasn't easy to find out." "It shouldn't, considering what they've been through. I gave them the spell to conceal their scent and powers." "And that's what I want to know. Why? If you know them, then they were in your coven, right?" He shook his head, "not my coven, a neighboring coven. But after their parents died, they were banished." He stopped walking. "They were banished when Will was only nine years old and Pete, six. I can't go into the details on why but, when they came to my coven, they were treated badly because of the banishment. They left and decided to go to a pack instead but they were abused because of their witch p

TOM It was just too quiet and awkward. "Are you sure you don't mind us sharing the bed? I can take the couch if you want." I said to him, turning to look at him. He had his back to the bed as he stared at the ceiling. "It's fine," he said and with the way I could hear the loud beating of his heart I doubt it was fine. I returned my gaze back to the ceiling. The light was off but the bedside lamp gave the room a soft glow. "Can you tell me what happened to the woman? What she said and did? Tomorrow I'm going to where she's kept so I need to know everything." I said. It was quiet for a moment, as if he was trying to relieve and say the words. And after a few moments he spoke, "I think it has to do with her son. I don't know who her son is, but she believes I'm responsible for what happened to him." I slowly nodded, "did she say anything out of the ordinary? Like act strange or say something strange?" He opened his mouth to say something but closed it back. It looked like he deba
