"I don't want Vivia to think I'm a money-hungry." Anna whispered, her voice exuding a rare loneliness.

Brandon had never seen this look on her face before. Currently, she looks extremely docile, and gentle, different from the fierce look he usually sees.

“I don't want her to look at me differently… like everyone else.” Anna spoke softly, Brandon seemed to see her crying in front of him.

Brandon was silent, then he said nothing more. Anna was like him, both of them were like two stone statues, completely motionless.

After a moment of silence, Brandon seemed to remember something. He frowned and lifted Anna's chin so she could look him in the eye.

"Does Sera know you're sixteen?" Brandon's eyes looked dark as he said this.

Anna heard his question, she shook her head and spoke softly. “No, I lied that I was eighteen years old.”

"Does she believe it?" Anna could see the anger in his voice. The force Brandon put on the finger that was gripping her chin made Anna feel a little pain.
