Isabella

Jade trod close to me. He gripped my shoulder tightly, holding me in place, his eyes pinned to mine. "Tell me the truth, Isabella. Do you have any powers?" My body went limp. What was I to say? It was indeed abnormal for me to heal on my own even though it was slow. But I didn't have any powers. His grip on my shoulder was so tight, I felt irritated. Trying to wiggle my way out of his grip only increased his hold on my shoulder. Darkness covered the forest with the moon giving its light, making his expression unreadable. "I don’t know."

Disappointment flashed in his eyes at my response as he slowly let go of my shoulder. I couldn't understand what he wanted from me. Would he also hate me as Prince Marcus because I didn't have any powers? "Let's go."

I wasn't so tense because I was telling him the truth. It's wonderful how doing the right thing feels good. I just wish my intentions were pure towards him and everyone else at all times. I al
