After my mate fell asleep in my arms, I gently laid her on her side and sneaked out of the room. I needed fresh air. I joined the warriors on patrol for a while but recalling her nightmares without me, I hurried back. She was already tossing and turning and instantly calmed when I wrapped my arms around her, taking in her scent. Bella didn't have our scent yet.
