CHAPTER 104

Iza POV

”I lied”

”What was that?” Steffan asked as he lifted himself up to lie on his elbows in bed.

I had been sitting and staring out of the window towards the woods ever since Steffan had told me that Luke had left to confront Darian and his pack of rouges.

He had brought Arianna in to sleep with us and by the sound of her breathing she was deep a sleep next to Steffan.

I had cursed Steffan for letting Luke go into the woods alone or even go at all. But I also knew Luke was never going to leave with us, knowing Darian was still out there, so Steffan had been right to let him go. I just prayed he would return alive.

Darian as an opponent was fierce enough, but facing him and his whole pack of rouges seemed like a suicide mission, so I had waited patiently at the window. Waiting for him to come out of the woods again. Alive and well. But nothing so far.
