Amyra's POV: "How dare you barge into my den like that?" Luna Haelynn asked, her face flushed with guilt. Alpha Valtor quickly scrambled out of bed and walked pass me with a stern look, his shoulders brushing mine. "What do you think you're doing?" I demanded trying to keep my voice steady. "What are you talking about? Get out of my den!" She spat, as her eyes flashed with anger. I took a deep breath and tried to explain what I had seen, but before I could finish she cut me off. "Accusing me of...of... this?" She laughed mockingly. "You really have no idea what I can do to you." Her subtle threat sent chills down my body, but I wasn't going to back down. A lot was going wrong in our Pack and something needs to be done quickly about it. I could feel my blood boil, but I kept my cool. "I'm telling everyone the truth. You're supposed to be a leader not a seductress!" I exclaimed at the end. The Luna's face turned red with rage, "You dare call me names?" She lashed, "I'll have you flogged for this insolence!" Before I could react, the Luna summoned two guards, accused me of stealing and demanded that I be punished by flogging. As I was being dragged away, I took a glance at the Luna, and she looked at me with a smirk on her face. After the whips, I was ushered back into the Luna's chamber. "You're nothing but a worthless servant and I can do a lot of things to you. One word from you about this and I'll have your head on a platter. Are we clear?" She asked. "Ye....es Luna." I mumbled shakily, devoid of strength. "Good, now get Lost!" I made my way back home, angry and heartbroken. Which each step I took, my bones ached. I felt my back sore from the flogging and my whole body completely weak. With everyone I walked pass, I tried to keep a straight face on and straighten my walking steps so as not to draw any attention to myself. But even with all of these, I wasn't going to rest till I had exposed the truth completely. I was willing to do whatever it takes. On getting home, I noticed Claire was waiting for me. She asked how it went and I told her it was fine. It was almost time for the festival, and I was eager to begin preparations for the festival. Soon we were both dressed in our desired outfits. I put on my favourite perfume and immediately began prepping Claire by stretching her hair into a sleek bob, and perfecting her makeup. After which I settled on the mirror side stool, allowing Claire work her magic on me as well. She curled up my hair into a messy bun with loose curled up stands hanging in front of my face. My makeup was done with precision. Taking a glance at the mirror, I couldn't help but feel proud of my beauty. "My goodness! Is this me?" I exclaimed looking at the mirror. "It's definitely you and you look gorgeous." Claire affirmed. "So are you girl." I giggled as I got up with caution, not wanting to aggravate the pain, and also not wanting Claire to notice that something was not right. Looking up at the door, I noticed my mum was standing there with a wide smile on her face. "Oh my, girls you both look so beautiful." My mum said as she covered up the distance between us and gave me a peck on my cheeks. "Thanks mum." "You're good?" She asked looking intently at me. "Yeah, but I'm a little nervous. What if I don't get my wolf?" "Baby it's okay to be nervous, but you don't have to dwell on the negative aspect of life. Always remind yourself that no matter what you are stronger than whatever life throws at you." She said, and I sighed deeply, taking in her words. "I guess I'm still learning how to keep a positive mindset." I said with a forced smile. "It okay baby, baby steps." "Sure mum." "One more thing," She started as she opened a red small jewelry box, revealing a silver chain with a heart shaped pendant. "I want you to have it for good luck. You know I wore it on the day I got my wolf." "It's so beautiful mum. I love it. Thank you so much." I said as she placed the necklace on me, almost in tears. "Nah, no tears. Uh you don't want to ruin your makeup." Claire warned, and my mum pulled me into a hug. "Come up here girl." I giggled as I pulled Claire in for a hug as well. Already set for the event, we all went downstairs. Just then Claire's phone screen lit up, and her expression changed on seeing the caller's ID. "Uh guys, I really have to go now." Claire announced. "Sure we're all about to go." My mum said picking up her keys from the table. "I mean I've to go like now. You guys don't worry about me, I'll meet you and Amy up at the venue." "Is everything okay? Girl you know we could drop you off at your Auntie's, wait till you're done then we can all go together." I suggested. "You don't have to worry, everything is fine. I'll be fine." Saying this, Claire smiled, grabbed her purse and immediately left the house. My mum and I got out almost immediately, got into the car, and began our journey to the venue, smiling as we both sang along to the radio. After a thirty minutes drive we arrived at the venue. As soon as we alighted from the car, a valet came to collect my mum's car keys. The festival of the moon spirits required the gathering of different wolves packs. Turns were usually taken for the hosting of the event, and this time around it was the turn of "Moon glow", our pack to host the event in our territory. Standing at the entrance of the hall alone, one could tell that our Alpha and the planning committee had outdone themselves, elegance and splendor oozing from the hall - an amazing sight to behold. "Amy, aren't you coming in now?" My mum asked. "Not yet. You go ahead, I'll wait for Claire." I replied. "Oh alright. If you need anything you can call." She said and disappeared into the crowd. Taking my phone out from my purse I dialed Claire's number, and she picked at the second dial. "Hello, what's up with you? Where are you?" "Right behind you." She said and my body unconsciously swiveled around, only to find her really standing behind me. "How did you get here so quick?" I asked surprised that she was actually here and she just shrugged her shoulders. "That's a beautiful necklace." I stated taking a closer look at the piece. "Thanks babe. My aunt just got it for me." "Don't you think that's a bit strange? I mean she hasn't gotten you anything nice in the past, why now?" "Well.... Maybe there's a change of heart." "Alright then." I shrugged. "C'mon let's go enjoy the festival." She said as she placed her arm on my shoulders and we both entered into the hall. The hall was a large open space, with rows of seats and a wrestling arena at the middle. As we walked through the crowded hall, the smell of roasted meat and sweats hung in the air. The sound of drums and laughter filled my ears. We both made our way to a reserved area where we took our seats and settled in. The moon hung low in the sky, casting an eerie glow over the wrestling arena. The air was filled with tension as two werewolves, one of which was representing our pack - Luke, and the other from the Blackwood pack - Kael, faced off in the centre of the ring. The crowd was doing a great job chanting and cheering as the referee, a wise old werewolf - Orlando, gave the final instructions: "The rules are clear; no killing, no maiming. The objectives were simple; the back of your opponent must touch the ground in order for you to be declared winner. Anything else is a fair game." Kael, a burly werewolf, stood opposite Luke, a lean and agile werewolf. Kael cracked his knuckles with a fierce determination, as his eyes gleamed, ready to take down his opponent. The bell rang and the match began. The two werewolves clashed against each other, their body colliding in a furry of snarls and snapping jaws. Kael seemed to be overpowering Luke, thus pinning him to the ground as his claws dug deep into his furs. But Luke refused to give in,and with a burst of adrenaline, he managed to wiggle free and sent Kael flying to the other end of the ring. The crowd was in awe seeing Kael land hard on the floor, with his back scrapping against the ground. Luke took advantage of Kael's momentarily weakness and pounced on him, pinning him down with his own claws. At last the referee counted to three and Luke was declared the winner. Luke stood up, proudly holding his arms aloft in victory. Kael's face twisted with rage. He snared and spat at Luke before turning away with his tails in between his legs. The next thing we heard was a loud bang. The roaring crowd had gone quiet, and the wrestling arena was now covered with blood "Oh my God." I mumbled in utter disbelief.Chapter 5Tristan's POV:I sat at my high throne that stood majestically in the grand hall, its presence commanding reverence and awe. Carved from a single block of polished ebony, it absorbed the light around it, radiating an aura of power and sophistication. Intricate patterns of gold and silver adorned its surface, depicting scenes of mythical creatures and celestial bodies. The armrests were shaped like lions' heads, their mouths open in a fierce roar, while the legs were designed to resemble serpents, coiled and ready to strike. As one approached the throne, they couldn't help but feel a sense of grandeur and majesty. It seemed to whisper tales of ancient kingdoms, forgotten wars, and legendary rulers. The throne's design exuded an air of regality, as it had witnessed the rise and fall of empires. Soft, velvety cushions in a deep, rich black adorned the seat. The throne's backrest rose high, supporting my stature and bearing, symbolising my authority and dominance."Speak." I sai
Chapter 4Amyra's POV:With a swift turn, I dragged her by the collar and pushed her, slamming her back against a tree bark."It was you all along!" Anger flashed through my eyes."What are you talking about?" Claire asked after struggling to get herself back."Where's your necklace?" I asked as I noticed the necklace was no longer on her neck but rather in her hands with some of its pieces scattered on the floor. "You're the one enabling them to track us down.""Yes, you've caught me, well done." Claire clapped as she gave a wild grin, her eyes flashing with contempt. The expression on her face sent shivers down my spine. I've never seen Claire look so evil before. I was weakened to my knees, desperately hoping it was all a dark joke."How could you be among the ones scheming against our people? Come to think that I trusted you, and now this?! What have I done to deserve this?" I asked, struggling not to cry in front of her."Everything, you worthless half-breed. You're the reason wh
Chapter 3Amyra's POV:The crowd gasped in horror as Luke fell flat on his face, swimming in the pool of his own blood. Turned out Kael couldn't stand the shame of defeat. Engulfed with rage, he had taken out his hidden gun, and shot at the unsuspecting winner, blowing his head off. The once celebrated match had turned into a travesty of honour and sportsmanship.Orlando roared in outrage, summoning pack enforcers to restrain Kael. But instead of holding him down, they surrounded Kael with their eyes cold and calculating. Without hesitation the pack enforcers opened fire at the audience. The crowd scrambled to get out of their way, but it was too late. Werewolves from within the darkness emerged, attacking the audience. The pack enforcers aim were true and precise; they were targeted at the members of the Moon glow pack. Then the realisation hit me. This was the planned invasion, the planned attack. "No no no." I cried, moving my head sideways. The hall was in disarray as people scra

Chapter 1 Amyra's POV:My mind skipped beats at intervals as I approached the palace. It was one place I'd give up anything to not visit due to the evil people habouring there, but I just couldn't stop going. It was from here myself and my mother fed, so if we stopped working here it'd cost us a lot. Wishes couldn't be horses for once, could it?Getting into the palace, I quickly went over to join the other slaves in cleaning the palace, sliding my phone into my sling bag, but Luna Haelynn still somehow caught me."What are you peasant doing, coming late?""I'm sorry." I mumbled, tilting my head a bit from her gaze."I asked for an answer, not an apology."I had....""You know what? Save it." She uttered with disgust whilst the other slaves stole quick glances at us. "Now get to work!" She had not finish leaving the sitting room when a guard ran inside."Alpha Greg's uncles are here." He breathed out.The three of them? At the same time? How weird."Hurry Amyra.
