Nicholas's POV:

Nothing could have hurt me more at this point. When I woke up, I found a note on the nightstand stating the arrival of her. All these years, I have been waiting for this day and nothing could get more important now.

I got up from the bed, but fell back when the stupid pain shot through my body like hell. I know the writing doesn't belong to the boys and I know that they might have gone there for her and asked someone to put a note there for me. And I know that they know I would be killing them in the morning if they didn't let me know about this.

I pulled all the tubes out and got up from the bed again only to be stopped by a nurse. "Sir, please stay still. It is not advisory for you to move yet. Please sir" she said trying to make me sit on the bed. I am not in a position to deal with this shit now.

"Tell aunt Alessa that I am leaving and don't you dare try to stop me" I said  moving past her and slamming the door on her face. I rushed out and looked around. I don't have my fucking car. I tried calling dad, but it went straight to voicemail.

Okay now, I have more issues to worry about. I tried calling Giovanni, but he didn't pick. I rushed back in and went straight to aunt Alessa's room.

"What the fuck do you mean by he left?" she was yelling at the girl before her. The girl before her was trembling in fear. "I- I tried stopping him, but" and by the low voice, I can tell that she is on the verge of tears.

"It's not her fault. Aunt Alessa I need your keys" I said going to her side and picked her car keys from the desk. "Nick, it is not good for you to drive let alone walk. Just stay put and get back to your room now" she said in a serious tone.

If this was any other day, I would have listened to her, coz she isn't the person to play around with or get pissed.

"You-" I said pointing towards the girl and continued "get the hell out of here" and turned to look at still fuming aunt Alessa.

"You'll not speak to my staff like that" she said twisting my ear. "Please I need to go now" I said pleading with my eyes. She shook her head sideways and looked away.

"You know I can't resist your puppy eyes right. But not this time. What got your panties on fire that you want to leave at this time and why are you soo desperate? Huh?" she said huffing and looking in all the directions.

"Please aunt Alessa. Please" I said giving her my best puppy eyes this time and  I know she can resist this time. However I am her favorite. "Why though? Isn't your fucking mission finished?"  she asked giving me a hug. I hugged her back and stood there.

"It went well and it is accomplished. And that's the reason why I have to go now. She is here" I said pulling back from her.

"Who?" she asked with a confused face.

"Who is here?" she asked again when I didn't answer. I gave her big smile and I rushed out of the room. "You idiot. Wait. Tell me who" she said rushing to me. She was panting.

"I thought you could read my mind. And I thought you know why I am in such a rush or why your dearest sons ran away and were not beside me when I was awake" I said smirking at her.  She was still looking clueless.

"Aunt Alessa, SHE is back" I said holding her head in place. "Iris. Iris is back. You mean Iris is back. When? How is she? Where is she?" she kept rambling.

"I don't know yet. But I know she is here and I know the boys are over there practically fighting over who to get her back home" I said smirking and she smiled back at me.

"Yeah sounds like a thing they would do" she said shaking her sideways. "I know I can't do anything to stop you now. But it is not good for you to drive in this condition, you are on sedatives and the wound is deep" she said with a worried look on her face.

I can understand where she is coming from. She cares for me a lot. A lot more than what my mother cared for me. That woman didn't even care for me. She just left me alone. If it wasn't for my dad and for the boys and their families, I would have lost my shit by now. They all helped me in holding me together and she was there with me in the initial stages. But she had to leave.

She was the only one that could make me smile and make me forget everything. She was my light and she was my soul. I couldn't take her leaving very well, but we had no other choice. They were after her and we had to clear them first to get her back.

I worked hard and took my time in getting to know things well and perfect. I wanted her back soon. We all wanted her back soon and now is time finally.

After I left the hospital, I drove to her house. I constantly kept calling the boys. But no one picked up.

When I dialed Wylan he picked up. But it seems like he accidentally answered the call. I didn't cut the call because I heard her voice. So sweet and soo kind like always. "I love him and he loves me that's it" I heard her say.

Who were they speaking about? And when I said something can't hurt me more, this hurt like hell.

"Lan, we are just friends. Why are you making a big deal out of this. I saw the look on your faces. You were about to kill him if I didn't pull back. He is like a brother to all of you. I know it wasn't good for me or for him to come see me. But I felt happy having him. That was the only way I had to know about you. How did you think I would survive without even knowing a thing about for all these years. Huh?" I can hear her pissed of tone and as I know her, I can picture her rolling her eyes.

"Okay, so we are not killing Eli. But it doesn't mean that he would get away any good" Wylan said with a huff. "He didn't commit a crime. Why would he get punished and don't you dare think of harming him in any way" she yelled and Wylan kept silent. That's my girl.

When I reached her house, I saw Wylan's car parked and that means they are home. I entered the house and ran upstairs to her childhood room. I opened the door and saw her sitting on the bed hugging her knees to her chest while Wylan was sitting on the chair.

"This bed is too small for me" she said pouting and I chuckled. "Obviously it would be small. You were like 3 or 4 when you left and now, your are in high-school. How do you think you can even fit there?" he asked falling back into the chair laughing.

"You, just shut up and get your ass out my room" she said pointing her finger in his direction. "Okay mam" he said getting up and kissed her cheek before he turned to the door. Okay I hate someone touching her, but okay. It's fine. Don't get mad on your friend.

"Ohh Nick, it's a shock that they let you out soo soon. Did the work go well" he asked raising his eyebrow. I nodded getting his message. "Yeah, but you know them right. I had to use my best to get out of there" I said winking and we both smirked.

"Now, if you can get your ass out of here, I would like to spend some time with her" I said narrowing  my eyes at him. He mumbled something and left the room.

I took a step forward closing the door behind me. I was taking small steps towards her. It still feels like a dream. I have been here in this room countless times after she left and always wanted her here. Finally she is here and I am more than happy.

"Nicky," she said placing her small hand on my cheek. It's been years that I heard that name. I loved her calling me that and I never allowed anyone else to call me that. I leaned into her hand and closed my eyes savoring this moment.

"Hello my Princess" I said and pressed my lips to hers.

  • The Tangled Crystals   20. Deep Shit

Everything just stopped existing and everyone just stopped breathing. The boys don't know what they did to deserve this. Maybe they didn't think of it much or maybe they just are not smart enough to know what their mistake was. This is not a thing the Elites would leave with a simple apology. And this surely is not a thing they'll take for granted. The six boys are gulping in fear and chills were running down their spines. This is an eerily scary silence. This surely is not good. Not once till now, the Elites have killed or tortured their allies. Not in generations. Coz, there was no Iris and there was no one to make them act this cruel. Their treaty may break. But they are not that weak to be afraid about losing their three ally groups. It's not the allies that define them. It's the

And this has become a regular thing for them ever since she came back. And yeah only two out of the six get to sit beside her."Nick, you already sat beside her in the car. You are out of this. It's just us five deciding on who to sit beside her" Skylar said narrowing his eyes at Nicholas. Meanwhile, Iris ran inside like a small kid and she started ordering her ice-cream. They all looked at her and smiled a bit. A few people around there who know them looked at them shocked. It's not a regular sight to see all the six elites smiling.
