The Tangled Crystals

"Dad, where are we going?" The little girl asked her dad who is taking all of them out. He wanted to spend some time with his family and that is what he is going to do now. 

"Where ever you want to go princess" he said putting a hand on her to stop her from jumping. "I want ice-cream" she screamed and the car was filled with laughter. She is the light of their darkness and his one and only weakness. 

"Dad, why does she get to pick the place everytime we go out and why not me?" the boy sitting in the backseat asked glaring at his little sister who is sitting in the passenger seat holding her dad's hand. 

"Okay, tell the place and we will go there" he said smiling in the mirror. "Okay, so let's get ice-cream first and then let's go for a long drive" the boy said looking at his dad in the mirror. He nodded and sped up a little. 

"This is why I let her pick" he said looking at his little girl. He smiled looking at her cute little dress and her cute face. He knows that she would be stealing many hearts. She already has six boys who are soo possessive about her right from the day she was born. 

He pulls infront of the parlor and motions for his son to cone out while he picks his princess in his arms. He then goes to the backseat to wake up his beautiful wife who is peacefully sleeping. 

"We will go get some ice-cream, wanna join us" he asks waking her up ever so lightly. She nods getting out of the car and hugs her husband. "I'll take her to washroom and get her cleaned up" she says extending her arms to hold her baby in her arms. 

Her son comes running to her and hugs her and he turns back to run into the parlor. "Okay, you take care of that demon, while I deal with this little devil" she says taking her baby into her arms and kisses her forhead.

"Did you just call my children demons. You'll be punished for this offense" he says holding his chest in fake pain and fake glares at his wife. "Okay, I'll be waiting" she says and kisses him. 

"Eww, daddy, eww mommy, let me down , let me down" the girl says wriggling in between her parents. She closes her eyes and turns away. They both break into laughter.

"Okay baby doll, we both are gonna go to the washroom and meanwhile your dad and brother will get ice-creams for us okay?" she asks pulling the girl to her chest. 

"Daddy strawberry for me and cookie and dough for mom" she says and tugs her mom to move. They both go towards the washroom while her dad and her brother are the counter.

"Your sister asked for strawberry" he bends down and whispers into his son's ears. "Noo! she'll make me eat strawberry and she'll steal mine. She never liked strawberry. We are not going to get strawberry" the boy says in a serious tone. 

"Okay okay we will get her a small strawberry and then a second scoop of what you are taking. Then, she would have what she asked for and what she will ask for. Okay?" he asks looking at his son. 

"Okayyyy" the boy beams in happiness. He loves his sister soo much. He just acts tough, but inside, his hearts melts into a puddle when she asks for something. He just can't resist. And everyone knows that. Even the little girl knows that and she plays with him.

"Daddyyy, lets get ice-creams for the boys too" she says coming towards him. He soon scoops her up and sets her on the counter. "Okay, we can, do you know what they like?" he asks looking at her. She nods.

"Yes, yes I know" she says bouncing up and down on the counter. The person behind the counter looks at her with loving eyes. She is such a cute little girl.

Bang

Shots are heard and all the people run around frantically. He picks his daughter and his son and rushes to the car. He places them inside and hands them the ice-creams.

"Iris just stay in the car. Don't come out. Okay. Just stay in your place and listen to music" he says fastening her seatbelt. She nods at her father and smiles. He gives her a quick smile and turns back to his so. But he is already out and he has a firm look in his eyes. 

"Dad, she'll be safe here. I'll help you" he says looking at his sister and then at the parlor. He is young just a few years older than his little sister but he is trained. The guards are already coming. So, he goes into the parlor and the boy shoots the first three people. He goes in search of his mom only to find her dead in the washroom. She had been shot multiple times. There is a very faint pulse.

He pulls her up and helps her out. With the help of his dad, he takes her to the car. Iris, who had no idea about what's going on around her, keeps listening to the songs playing on the radio. Adelaide, sweetheart and soulmate of Valentino pulls both her babies to her and hugs them tight. By now, Iris senses everything that has been happening around her.

"Momma, momma please,  momma please wake up." Rhe little girl begs her mother.

"Iris baby, it's okay. Now, promise me that you'll take care of yourself and then don't cause any trouble to your dad or to Arius. Don't ever cry sweetheart. An angel is meant to spread happiness.  Not tears" Adelaide said holding her babies close to her. 

"Val, stop the car and come here" she said looking at him.

"Let's get you to hospital first" he said holding back his tears.

"Val I know the seriousness of my injuries. I don't have much time. Please come here before I die" she says in a stern voice and he stops the car reluctantly. 

"They came for her. Not me. They need her. Keep her safe and nothing that happened here tonight is your mistake. Just one thing, keep her safe and let her find her love don't ever say no to her choices" she said giving him one last kiss on his cheek.

She kissed both her babies once again. By the time the guards reached the place, she was dead. Arius was frantically crying and there is no trace of Iris. Valentino was breaking apart.
