It's not Asher's

All Asher did was put up an act. He knew he couldn't cage me in the house forever. After much argument for countless nights and continuous slaps I got from him_ that was the highest he did, probably because he didn't want anything to happen to “his baby". We concluded. I could work, but not at a firm.

Asher surprisingly bought an already ongoing restaurant for me. He set things up and got employers there. I wasn't doing anything because there was someone for everything. That was the biggest thing Asher had done for me since we got married. I was so surprised when he told me. Even though I could see the contempt in his eyes as he spoke, I was still happy. At least I got to leave the house.

But to think of it, Asher wasn't the type to do something as big as that for me. The last big thing I remembered Asher did for me was planning an anniversary that turned out to be a disaster. It wasn't my fault. Maybe if he had remembered the date, that wouldn't have happened.
