15. The Council Summons

Ronan POV

It was well after lights out in the dormitories before I finally climbed into bed. I'd spent the last 3hrs pacing my apartment, lost in thought. It wasn't until I finally laid down to sleep that I realized that these feelings of restlessness & anxiety weren't my own. No, these feelings belonged to Rayan, my brother, my King. He could usually contain his emotions so they weren't projected onto me, after being bonded to him for over 5 centuries we had both learned to control our emotions so we didn't usually feel eachother's, so something must really be bothering him if he was spiraling like this.

I reached for our bond & opened the link. Maybe if he talks about it he'll calm down enough for me to get some sleep.

"You alright brother? What's on your mind?" I asked him casually.

"I'm doing well, why what's up man?" He responds coolly, not wanting me to know that he's bothered like the King he is.
