In the kingdom of vampires...
"Your half-bred heir had smelt the enemies' key of existence!" Augustus, the king of Vampire spoke.
He was sitting on his throne while his son Damien was kneeling before him.
"Yes, my king. Her scent had unfolded the entire stadium!" Damien reported.
He was talking to his own father but he still had to bow his head before him. Not because, his father hated his half-human grandson but because he wanted to show to his vampire clan that in their blood, there were no such things as a family!
"Then bring forth someone to follow that scent!" he roared as he rose from his throne.
"Yes, my king!" Damien left immediately.
Upon shutting the arch-shaped wide door, king Augustus turned to a bat and went through a small hole down to the alley of the ancient palace.
He transformed into a vampire upon his black boots stepped on the cold brick ground. The place was a prison full of mice and webs. Obviously, the prison had not been occupied for a long time.
With the sway of his hand, the mice and webs disappeared like a whirlwind. When his black eyes turned into bloody red, an iron door in front of him was slammed open.
"Silas, my servant has found the treasure. How do you feel about that?" he sneered at the half-naked man full of dried blood all over his body.
He was so weak that the chains that were tightly locked around his wrists were dragging his blood-dried hands. His body was almost dropping on the cold ground. His legs half knelt as his feet were widely spread. His head that was full of blood was bowing but when he heard his enemy's voice, he slowly lifted his face that showed a terrifying glare. His eyes were sharper than a dagger and shinier than a needle.
"You will never find my child, Augustus. No matter how many spies you are going to send in my kingdom!" he voiced out with a weak but stern tone.
Even if he was brutally tied by the vampires, his aura as the mighty king of the rare white wolves was always exhibited.
"Your child? Silas, according to Anton, your child is the princess!" King Augustus roared telling him that he knew the treasure was a girl.
"Anton? Him?" King Silas whispered as his breath was tightened. His weakness was when his own blood or clan betrayed him or his pack.
King Augustus laughed. His voice escalated the whole cold and empty prison underground.
"You have no knowledge about it? Your north pack has been serving me for years. The birth of your princess is the only reason why they stay hidden as my spies in your kingdom!"
King Silas sneered at him. One thing King Augustus didn't know was the connection of loyal wolves packs. It was strong and bonded.
Since Anton and his clan became spies, the link between him and the other packs was torn down.
Therefore, everything they were talking about at the moment was being heard by his loyal subjects; the high priest, Rubio, Gasphar, Vashti, and Sira.
Upon hearing the king's command, they gathered in their thoughts.
"The treasure is safe for now but we have to be vigilant!" the high priest started.
"High Priest, what do we need to do?" Rubio asked.
"Rubio, someday you will follow your cousin in the human world and help Sira protect her!" the high priest instructed him about his plan.
"What about the queen?" Vashti asked.
"The queen's body can be hidden in my place!" Gasphar suggested.
"High Priest, what if Princess Ariya's wolf instinct would appear earlier than we expect?" Sira suddenly asked.
"Sira, what do you mean?" Vashti focused her mind on Sira.
"Her wolf instinct has been emerging little by little and the people in their mansion are already alarmed. Last time, her siren voice had almost made the place a total mess. At her age, she can already jump high and carry a person with her bare hands!" Sira explained.
"She is the princess after all. But her powers will never develop rapidly until she reached her budding age!" the high priest stated.
"For now, we can't do anything about it. But we can control her movements and hide it in the human sight!" he added.
"Yes, high priest!" Sira replied and bowed. She left in their thoughts after.
"Vashti, I know you are the one who burnt the portal. Why did you do that?" The high priest declared which made Rubio and Gasphar exclaimed in disappointment.
"What is your purpose of doing that?" Gasphar asked.
"It's for the princess' safety and future. You allowed her to be brought upon in the hands of humans! ~" Vashti said.
"She was brought to the human world to keep her safe!" Rubio also disapproved of Vashti's decision.
"That's the only way to the human world!" Gasphar was roaring in anger in their minds.
"My friends, I am not your enemy here. I also like to preserve our white wolf pack. But you forgot, I also have the ability to see the future!" Vashti defended herself.
An eerie silence suddenly emerged in their thoughts.
"Vashti, what did you see?" The High Priest broke the ear-piercing silence.
Everyone this time was quiet and would like Vashti to continue.
"Princess Ariya will choose her own path. If she will marry the boy, she will live in the world of humans and her innerwolf will disappear. But if she will come back, she will die in the hands of the vampires!"
The King's loyal subjects couldn't fathom what Vashti had just disclosed.
"If she will stay in the mortal world, we will never see her again!" Rubio uttered with a hint of sadness in his voice. That was his only cousin. A so-called remembrance in the family of the king.
"Yes! That's why she is the only one who can choose her path. Her chosen path is her fate!" Vashti lastly stated before she left in their thoughts.
When Vashti left, both Gasphar and Rubio also disappeared. The only one who remained was the high priest.
"My friend, you have heard everything!" the high priest said while his eyes were still shut.
"I have. Protect yourselves. I am coming back!" King Silas announced.
Meanwhile at the hospital..."Brother Vince, what happened to you?" Princess Ariya's tiny cries crisped on the four corners of the VIP ward.Vince was lying unconsciously on the bed with a bandage wrapped around his body and on his head."Coach, how did this happen?" Halley was also shocked when she saw her son's condition. It was not normal at all. It was a heavy fall at the basketball court but Vince looked like he had a car accident."Mrs. Mores, to be honest, we also have no idea. I just went back from the school a while ago and had checked the CCTV but it was something..." the coach was reluctant to tell what he had seen. He glanced at Vince and touched his forehead.By that time, Jon had just arrived. When the principal of Crestview High told him about what happened to his son, he left his work at the construction site and drove off like a lightning."Please coach, tell us!" Halley was now panicking."What happened to my son?" Jon roared and couldn't he
Time had passed and Princess Ariya was now ten years old. Her power was starting to emerge. She had the combination of all of the superpowers of King Silas' loyal subjects except for Vashti's.Her bluish-purple eyes could turn to a laser beam like Gasphar. She could move objects with her mind like her cousin, Rubio. And she was a siren, like Sira. She might not be able to foretell the future like Vashti but she had gotten Vashti's strength and skill in combats. Of all the white wolves, she had the complete package! On the other hand, Vince's plan to study in the US was granted. He was already sixteen years old and because of his good looks, brilliance, and height; most girls in the university chased after him. But there was one particular girl whom Vince liked. That was Isabelle!Isabelle was also like Vince. A genius at the age of sixteen. She was beautiful with long black hair and a skin-white complexion. She was tall and had a beautiful figure. She was also po
Katrina tried to hide Princess Ariya when the grandfather clock in the living room struck twelve. They stealthily crept downstairs to avoid Vince.Upon arriving at the entrance door, the lights from the chandelier in the living room suddenly lit up. Vince's dark face made them almost jump to their feet."Young Master!" Katrina exclaimed in a whisper."Princess you must do something!" she talked to Princess Ariya in her mind. The princess looked up at her before she shifted her stare at her brother.Vince was slowly walking towards them."Didn't I tell you this morning, don't bring her to dangerous places? Katrina, where are you taking my sister?" he roared as he held Princess Ariya's soft hand and brought her closer to him. He was shocked by the softness of her hand that he glanced at his sister for a while."Go back to your room. Get to sleep. Forget what you saw tonight. Hurry! Have a sweet dream!" Princess Ariya was already talking to him in his mind using th
When Princess Ariya turned ten three months ago, both Sira and Katrina prepared for their birthday surprise. That was to tell her who she really was!"Master, what if the princess freaked out?" Katrina asked Sira in her thoughts."Princess Ariya will never freak out not unless something bad will happen to the Mores!" Sira explained.Sira was telling Katrina that she could adapt to changes well. That was their natural wolf instinct. Not unless one of them in the pack got hurt or in danger, the white wolves roared their hearts out. Just like what happened to Vince at his school four years ago. They polished their plan well. They also controlled Jon's mind. Since he was the one who saw the princess in front of their iron gate when she was a baby, he had to serve as their bridge to let Princess Ariya understand better."Daddy, where are you taking me?" Princess Ariya asked while Jon held her soft hand."I am taking you to our maze garden. There is a bench there where w
In Prince Damien's place...The prince of vampire's place was an ancient castle just a bit smaller than his father's castle. It was set at the foot of the highest mountain in their kingdom. While he was sitting straight to his king's throne single chair in five steps high platform in front of the wide empty and cold ballroom hall, he spoke in archaic terms to the person bowing around fifty meters away from him."Speak! Hear me a piece of pleasant news!" his cold voice escalated the whole ballroom hall."According to my spy, Silas loyal subjects gather in their thoughts almost every day with no random time!" Anton sternly announced. His voice was strong and heavy when he lifted his head and talked to Prince Damien. He may be the vampires' dog now but deep inside he condemned the whole idea."Does your mole aware of their subjects?" Damien stood up gracefully and slowly walked down the five steps of his throne."No, he doesn't. He can't connect with them!" Anton r
When Vince woke up the next day, he had only not gotten a splitting headache but also a heavy spanking from his mother."Mom, I promise I won't go to the bar and drink again!" he was beseeching his mom to stop hitting his bottom with his dad's belt.Even if he was wearing jeans, he could feel the irking pain that came from his mom's spanking."You should! You are even bold to drive while you were drunk huh! Is this what you are learning at the university in the US?" his mom never gave him any sympathy at all. That was their rule in the mansion. Even Princess Ariya had been beaten on the butt once when she disobeyed her adoptive mother. But that time it was not her fault at all. She was just caught by her mom still lingering in the garden in the middle of the night. She was supposed to have her training. When her mom asked where she had gone, Princess Ariya lied. That was the reason why Halley spanked her once. Both Jon and Halley didn't like their kids to be disres
The time had come that Vince needed to go back to the USA to complete his course. When they arrived at the departure area, Halley hugged her son tight."No drinking and going to the bars or clubs!" Halley sternly said while pointing her pointer finger in front of them."Yes, mom! Don't worry about it. I will keep my promise!" Vince replied."You can go there when you are at your legal age. But you must be responsible!" Jon added. They continued reminding him as Jon patted his son's shoulder. When Vince shifted his glance at his younger sister between their parents, he stroked her head and brushed her candy corn hair."Take care of yourself, okay?" Vince told Princess Ariya."Okay! You, too! Don't forget to read the book I gave you. If you don't read them, I will get angry!" Princess Ariya threatened Vince which made him chuckle."What book?" Jon asked in amusement."Story of wolves and vampires dad!" Vince replied."I will read the book!" he told Prince
After the ferocious fight with the vampire, Princess Ariya disappeared in a white thick fog while Ira strode straight to her dorm just five minutes walk to Vince dorm."Young Master, we have arrived. We are now in front of your dorm!" the driver was waking Vince up while he gently patted his shoulder."Huh! Oh, we are here!" Vince was surprised to know that he slept like a log in the car.Probably, he was really just exhausted that he dozed off while their driver was driving. But he had no idea that Sira snapped her fingers under the water for him to rest while the princess and Ira were battling against their bloodsucker enemies. When the princess arrived in her room with the thick fog, one guard in the main gate saw the white fog through the window."What is that?" he asked his fellow guard while squinting his eyes on it."What are you looking at?" the other guard asked. When he also glanced in the direction he was squinting, he didn't see anything. He only
