I’m sure my jaw has a new permanent residence on the floor because holy cow!

I’m fidgeting in my seat, dying to ask questions even after she’s already told me off for interrupting.

Miss Ayesha sees me and chuckles. “Go on, ask before that little head of yours goes kaboom.”

I slightly blush and shyly smile, feeling a bit out of character because this is very unlike me, but I feel like I’m going to burst.

“Alright, and please don’t take offense because it’s not something I usually ask, but how old are you? And what happened to Alpha Benjamin’s father? Did he die? Is that why you guys decided on Benjamin?” I ask rapidly, my curiosity burning like a wildfire.

What’s so crazy is that she’s only talked about their life when they were rogues. She hasn’t even gotten to the bits she alluded to yesterday!

But what captivated me is the way she described it. She makes it sound like it came from a book or movie. It sounded so…what’s the word I’m looking for?
